Devin Townsend keeps everyone entertained @ Barcelona, Be Prog! My Friend 

this is why you go to see devin townsend, because sometimes things like this happen, he played my little shithole town a few years ago and they didnt realize how small the venue was, so he gave his band the night off and treated the audiance to a close intimate concert, taking requests until 1 in the morning, its a one of a kind experience that only he brings, the man is a canadian treasure.

I have to say this yet again: Devin is the Deadpool of Metal musicians

Okay, so he tells everybody he will be back in 12 seconds, leaves the stage at 5:47. Comes back at 5:59. IT WAS ACTUALLY TWELVE seconds. Proof that Devin is a hyperintelligent superhuman genius! Also, he must keep really tight rhythm right? :D

I don't know a single song by Devin Townsend or any of his bands, but somehow I am in a rabbit hole of videos featuring him being insane and hilarious and I'm loving it.

Usually this would just suck.....but hey, stuff happens. But Devin makes it entertaining af!!! 🤣 What a guy! Glad I saw him live...2 times actually. First time was with Vai as openers for Extreme.....I hated it, while I loved Vai. I just wasn't ready yet for the force that is Devin Townsend. And like 7 years ago or something, with my son.....it was awesome!!!

Devin is so lovable. Just saw him in Tuska, which was just before this show. He has some great banter between songs. Shame they had technical difficulties right after leaving Helsinki, it was a great show.

Devin has always been such a great showman. I will always hold his SYL years in a special place but you can tell he is so much happier with his life now that he has moved away from the extreme metal scene and has obviously started taking much better care of himself. The dude is an inspiration and he would probably make fun of me for saying that which I'm fine with.

The Canadians in a pool joke got me good. I wish a lot more artists would do this, most just walk off stage until it's fixed.

Devin is the only metal musician around with a real sense of humor.....he's the only one who can pull of this amazing 15 minutes of routine.

I love how Devin is SO nice to everyone, his audience, his band members and crew and he is so funny, I could listen to him for hours, when i saw him play solo in a small venue - Holylwood Bowl movie theatre in Auckland , he just wanted to engage with the audience between sets, and he was so entertaining, it was just as good as listening to him play and I think he would have gone all night if he was allowed to - He is the best!!

Devin is so good. This shows he really loves his fans. I would love to see him live.

I'm amazed about how this man could be funny, talented and entertaining. I know a bit about his funny side, from videos etc....but i wouldn't have believed so mush as video shown. More than that, i really appreciate the fact he never get pissed and start to rant against technicians or rest of the band. He got the situation instead just whining around and simply carried the show ALONE. Thats not only about Talent or Respect, that he dont need to show us anymore, we already know bout that. Thats about How to fking be A LEADER. On and Off the situation. On and Off the stage. Love this guy even more. Even more ! Be Prog You All Guys :)

He's a true professional, giving the crowd what they paid for: entertainment courtesy of Devin & Co. - regardless of technical issues. He's also able to avoid taking himself too seriously while keeping the crowd engaged while the crew figures out what's wrong. Class act all the way.

as someone who has worked backstage in theatres before, a guy like this a rrraaaaaarrrrree bread when it comes to rolling with the punches with technical issues. granted in concerts like this you have a little bit more leeway on improving shit where as theatre you're kind of stuck with the script, but still. Also Les Mis @ 4:57 damn guy has a such a good singing voice for a metal vocalist.
