Never got the love he deserved, a lot like some of the top MC's of that time. Easily up there with Ghetts and Kano of that time as 1 of the best lyrically. Its a shame grime wasnt accepted to the level it was when Stormzy blew up. As Devlin would of climbed to those heights easily along with ed sheeran
Shizzio you need to be more clear to get your point across sometimes plus the white MC part was hard to watch because the only people saying he’s good for a white MC are basically being racist because the colour of someone’s skin is irrelevant

You skipped over too much of he’s early days. No talk of tales from the crypt, bud sweat and beers or the OT crew and there albums. Also you need to allow the guy to be able to talk. Feels like your constantly interrupting.
i love love love devlins music and his aura im a fan so dont get me wrong but its so offputting when he talks he sounds like he ran with the crays but when he raps yeah he keeps a faint trace of it but he still raps in a different accent its really a loss for rap in the uk london rappers used to affect american accents and now everbody code switches to multicultral london english otherwise known as the roadman accent ...its a pity i know devs isnt faking it its probably automatic but it stems from the fact that for allot of people rapping in broad cockney or essex accent s is unthinkable
What a stupid thing to say, you can hear his accent in rapping, why would someones accent bother you, also British rappers putting on American a accents is just fake
@@craighughes-shug6694 i dont know why your having a go at me i know devlin raps closer to his speaking accent then other rappers do .i was merely bemoaning the fact that grime is losing the richness that otherwise would exist if people were to 120 percent keep their spoken accent .and of course english artists rapping in faux american accents is absurd..i reckon it would be even cooler if lads with that geezer accent like french the kid or devlin would keep that same sound rapping ..also my comment clearly critisised brits who affect an american accent .reread my comment more carefully ..thats all no need to get tetchy mate
