Devo - Amager Bio, Copenhagen - August 8, 2023 

Was there! Best 2023 show for me. Devo is more vital and important than ever. Thanks for 50 years of messing with people's heads and creating unique inventive rock n roll! Devo's three first albums are immortal classics.

DEVO..still more relevant than most bands today.

Freedom of Choice is one the best albums ever made. They were firing on all cylinders when they released it. I used to listen to it constantly in a loop. The radio only played Whip it their hit but they had other good songs that were ignored by radio. Like Freedom of Choice, Planet Earth and Gates of Steel. I’m glad to see them play some shows and showcase their best music. They weren’t just a one hit wonder band. Their music was high energy.

I'm so glad I liked Devo as a teenager so I could have the opportunity to understand them as an adult.

Great Show! I was expecting them to kick into "Come Back Jonee" after " Slap Your Mammy", like on the album. Would have been epic. I want to see them more than ever now..

One of their greatest live songs Smart Patrol/Mr DNA was wiped out and the same with Going Under, one of their greatest songs also. If only it would of been great up close.

Always such a fun and tight band. Interesting to see them aged and fatter like me, which is quite a contrast when they were all skinny nerds back in the early 80's.

Love Devo but can’t stand their version of satisfaction

They have punk rock energy from the early eighties when this album was released. They were influenced by Punk and the result is a lean and mean album with no fat on it. It goes at 100 mph. They were in their twenties when they recorded this and they haven’t slowed it down one bit. Kudos to them! Also, Devolution has been proven to be real. It’s everything devolving. We are going backwards. A modern Plague even and regressing to the Dark Ages. Don’t believe it? If the Supply Chain breaks down completely you’ll see how fast the thin veneer of Civilization really is. It will be like the Purge. And worst than the Walking Dead. It will be roaming gangs of cannibal killer’s looking to hunt down, kill and rob people of every thing. If you don’t have a secret place to escape to off the grid you’ll be doomed.

Finishing with the muffled Boogie Boy seemed anticlimactic, as reflected in Jerry's expression. Mark can't hit the high notes after COVID, but I still love them all.

Gerry Casale seems to have lost quite a bit of weight in recent times or he has been shrinking. His toupee though seems to be fitting quite well and not that noticeable at all.

Skipped the best song of the set. Smart patrol:(
