Mike Jackson balled out last year andnPete Caroll said he was the best player so far through the off season. Im very comforting starting him on the outiside next year if he's still performing well and moving spoon to thenslot if hencould handle it. Its exciting just thinking of our secondary if all our guys are healthy.
He's been practicing in slot because the third best cb on the roster is MikeJack. If you want your 3 best corners on the field at the same time, MikeJack isn't playing slot.
I'm confused...how did the rookie class look 'deadly' in minicamp? Yo utalked about the stuff we all already knew and then kept saying we won't really know anything until training camp. So, did they look deadly? Or will you not be able to tell anything until training camp? Talking very excitedly about nothing...doesn't change the fact that you are talking about nothing. :)
From what I understand Illinois moved Spoon all over and he spent about 1/4 or so time in the slot. According to Bielema he is very comfortable there and part of his allure to Seattle when thinking about drafting him was that he has that versatility. Him as the Nickel back would allow Seattle to play a little more Nickel while getting Spoon closer to the line of scrimmage and allowing those football instincts to play downhill. If Adams is healthy those two are going to be a nightmare to opposing offenses.
