I can’t explain it, but as a Seahawk fan, this was the greatest day of my life. Watching us destroy Manning for our first Lombardi trophy. Everyone did their job and it was an amazing feeling. Hey look. We gave it to Lynch on the 1 yard line. Maybe we should’ve done that more often
Literally the most dominant superbowl performance of all time. And it was against the strongest offense of all time. The game was over by the first 12 seconds.
This was the most exciting blowout I’ve ever seen in a game. This SuperBowl was epic. That Seahawks team is one of the all time greats in NFL history in my opinion. They had no weakness. Their intro has been unmatched as well. Whoever wrote that Seahawks opening deserves an award.
@@untoldhd4383 Lmao they are statistically the 2nd best secondary defense (1985 browns being 1st) to ever step foot on the field They went 13 - 3 Defense led league in points allowed (231) Defense led league in yards allowed (4,378) Defense led league in takeaways (39) For 3 years Defense led the league in scoring For 4 years defense lead the league in points allowed First team to lead all 3 categories since 1985 chicago bears Hold the record for best point differential (+186) Allowed 14.4 ppg, lowest in franchise history Only team to Intercept Brady twice in the same match within the 2010 decade Beat 2013 Denver Broncos at Superbowl XLVIII (43 - 8) Despite the Broncos having a ppg average of 37.9 Intercepted Manning twice 2 forced fumbles 1 P6
As a Seattle fan, this game means so much. Even if they never win another one, for us to have at least gotten one, that means everything. There are some franchises/fans that still haven’t gotten one. So I’m hopeful for the future, but even if nothing comes of it, I’m happy that this at least happened. Go hawks.
It was a bucket list fantasy and us Hawks fans can now die happy but not until the Sonics come back, Mariners win a World Series and Kraken win the Stanley Cup! Damn am I going to die happy?
You do know that if you live in the Seattle area you can't be a bandwagoner, even if you started following the team after 2011 right? By definition, you can only be a bandwagoner if you become a fan both after a team gets good and if that team is out of market.
Devin Seahawksfan ive lived in Washington State all my life and the whole state has been crazy over the seahawks for decades. I actually live here and I know what its like.
Reid Williams - you're right, it was enjoyable for some of us old die-hard fans. I'm just glad a friend of mine here in California who latched onto them since their inception in 76' got to see them win the big one before he passed away in an Orange County convalescent home,18 months later. He & I used to joke about us never even seeing the Hawks win the big game, let alone get into it.
this is my favorite super bowl for one reason. I was in elementary school at the time and the teacher i had HATED my guts. However, she was a massive Broncos fan. So seeing her sad for about a week was amazing. I remember me and my friends just talking about the game out loud just so she would hear.
This video is my happy place.. no matter how bad the Seahawks choke in the future, I can come here, and this really happened. It's hard to overstate how big a deal this game was. For the longest time, game after game, year after year, decade after decade, every time the Hawks came up short, (sometimes WAY short) and we had to sit on our couches watching other teams hoist the Lombardi. Finally, we got one. Should have had two or three by now, but one is a hell of a lot better than none.
I was like 13 when this happened. I was the only one in my school that was rooting for seattle. Everyone said to me that Denver's offense was no match for your defense. They were completely wrong. I miss this defense😥
I mean but honestly do you see Brady getting smacked like this against this team idk not saying Brady would win or its all manning a fault but he does deserve a lot of the blame
This was the fist NFL game that I saw, and my first Super Bowl, I was like 9 years old, and I didn't know anything about Football, and in that moment, I fell in Love with NFL, and obviously with the Seattle Seahawks, I'm 16 years old, and the Seahawks are the only Football team in my heart
As a Broncos fan, the only highlight coming from this game was that it forced the Broncos to totally revamp their defense. Paving the way for a championship two years later.
@@englandismycity1617 we're talkin' about Tom Flippin Brady, bro. We ain't talkin' about no Aaron Rodgers or Andrew Luck. They're good, but they aren't Tom Brady.
@@romerobryan83 i wasn’t referencing this game by itself, but it’s just nice to see everyone being able to be together without having to worry abt the virus yk?
@@romerobryan83 I was in fifth grade when I watched this game and am now a senior in high school. Crazy to think that I am older than you when you saw the game.
Here's something to think about: every time the Broncos have worn their orange jerseys in the Super Bowl, they've gotten stomped. Super Bowl XXII: WAS 42, DEN 10. WAS scored 42 unanswered points, including 35 in the second quarter. Denver were wearing their orange jerseys. Super Bowl XXIV: SF 55, DEN 10. Still the most lopsided score in SB history. Denver were again wearing their orange jerseys. Super Bowl XLVIII: SEA 43, DEN 8. 4 turnovers, and one of the worst playoff performances of Peyton Manning. Denver were wearing their orange jerseys. There's a pattern here, and it's not a good one for Denver fans.
they wore Orange in 77 super bowl and lost 27-10 to Dallas. but they didn't wear Orange in 86 vs giant and they still got crushed 39-20 it was 39-13 before Denver got a meaningless touchdown.
This Seahawks defense was one of the greatest defense to ever play, and the headmaster of all of these was Dan Quinn, who turned Cowboys defense from literally the worst defense in the leage to top 3 consecutive seasons. People tend to forget how of a mastermind he is, and only because of the Packers game he was catching strays from all Cowboys Fans. As a Cowboys fan, this dude is legit and I would be so glad if he gets the HC job.
***** I don't think anyone is a fucking idiot for questioning that call, dude. You have Marshawn Lynch. You need one yard. It's 2nd Down. You have a timeout. Hello? Play to your strengths. That call is the reason Josh McDaniels has a Super Bowl ring, and that pisses me right off.
figures peyton manning decides to win another super bowl against the division rivals of the team that scored 25 points in the second half of SB44 exactly six years prior....
Yep HAHAHA LOL 😅 😂 😁 😄 😆. HE SHOULDN'T HAVE STOPPED TO TRY TO TACKLE PERCY HARVIN, HE SHOULD'VE ALREADY BEEN IN POSITION HE JUST CAME IN TOO FAST LOL 😅 😂 😁 😄 😆. LMFAO 👍 👌 👏.
This entire game is ingrained in my brain I love all the players on Seahawks team I still wish we had the team built up it like we did but I love the Seahawks my entire family erupted when the won and when they clutched in the playoff game that season was amazing
***** He was talking about if we had the '13 record-breaking offense and the '15 league best offense, we'd go 16-0, no doubt. And, GTFO, this is a Broncos game, go trash talk on a Patriots game.
"Seahawks havent played a record breaking offense like the Broncos, they'll have it coming for them this Sunday" "Seahawks offense and their pedestrian receivers won't be able to score as much as our historical record breaking offense, good luck trying to keep up" "The Broncos offense will make the Seahawks defense look silly and confused. LOL I can't wait to witness that." "Broncos receivers will run past the Seahawks secondary and will make the legion of gloom look lost and looking for answers" 😂 "The legion of gloom won't be able to keep up with Peyton Manning and his offense" - Broncos fans before the super bowl 😂
living proof that Tom Brady is better than Peyton. And don't give me that lucky crap. You saw how Brady was simply able to get in a good rythem off the bat and costantley burn the defense. Manning spent less time on the damn field than Bruno Mars.
Yeah alright (BrickDog12)...? He's not even close. Stats don't make you a better QB.. It just means he's been playing sense '98. Longer then anyone in the league. No shit he'll stack up more TD's. But what's that have to do with winning playoff games, And Super Bowls ? Nothing. More losses then anyone. Only person who can compare with Brady is Montana.
Legion of Boom will go down as the greatest secondary of this decade. I mean for them to shut down the Broncos record setting offense in the super bowl was impressive.
TheGreatHeisman they’re the greatest secondary of all time. 3 of the 4 players in that secondary are Hall of famers. Kam, Sherman, and Earl Thomas we’re all the best at their positions for 3-4 years and for Kam and Earl even longer
@@wyattwv ya they are very good this year. And you cant count out the 2015 broncos shutting down a Panthers team that was 15-1 and was blowing out the cardinals in the nfc championship was no easy feat either
Respect to Malcolm Smith, but I think Cliff Avril should have been the MVP. His relentless pressure on Peyton Manning was key to every one of those forced turnovers.
There were a lot of good candidates for SB MVP. At the time I thought it would either Kam Chancellor or Percy Harvin (because of his two big returns) or even Russell Wilson because of his two TDs (albeit late in the game).
He got MVP because of the pick 6 and later the fumble recovery that Maxwell punched out. He wasn't the catalyst but the recipient of 2 pivotal turning points in the game. Avril and Maxwell got the credit they deserved but ultimately Smith did in fact deserve the honor. It's a team game though. A case could be made for Chancellor deserving it too.
I had a Super Bowl party at my house for this game, about 25-30 seahawk fans with the lone Broncos fan…. He got blacked out drunk before half time LOL! Best day of my life… approx 1 year later… worst day of my life :( lol
SUPER BOWL 48: "SEATTLE RUNS THE BALL ON SECOND AND GOAL WITH LYNCH." SUPER BOWL 49: "SEATTLE DOESN'T RUN THE BALL ON SECOND AND GOAL WITH LYNCH. " ME: WTF?! ARE YOU FRICKIN KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW SEATTLE.
we came back two years later, and upset the Panthers 24-10. I've completely forgotten about this, and realized how this taught us to never underestimate anyone and never give up.
+GrimlockPrime 84 They learned not to let Peyton throw the ball anymore lol, If you notice this game had to do a lot with how broken down Manning was. If Peyton wasn't so injured this game would of been better, still a loss but better. #1 rank Defenses generally win all the superbowls they play in, I think like 10-2 , Pats vs Sea was one of the times they didn't.
+GrimlockPrime 84 .... Broncos didn't underestimate Seattle ... They just got man handled from a defense that was probably top 3 in NFL history... Broncos did learn from it though... Great defense beats great offense...
Ello Pie .... You don't have the record they had, the numbers they put up sucking... Last time I checked any team that makes it to the Super-Bowl did something right....
RIP Demaryius Thomas. Denver got smoked (no pun intended) by the Seahawks offense and deconstructed by the Legion of Boom in this Super Bowl, but that dude played his heart out all season long.
This might be the most perfect Seahawks game ever played, absolutely crushed an offensive juggernaut, scored 12 seconds into each half, had a safety, pick six and fumble recovery, ran a kickoff back and shut the other team out until the 4th quarter and considering it was against the greatest statistical offensive the league has ever seen is just the icing on the cake
1990Thunderbolt You're right for once. Brady stands alone. 4 rings. I can't even mention the other guys name with 2 rings that plays for a New York team. He doesn't deserve to be mentioned with Brady. 4 rings > 2 rings.
My team the "Seahawks" has actually improved this year. We didn't lose any significant players. We only gained crucial player to "IMPROVE" our team. That being the case we are even better this year. I expect a third consecutive entrance to the Superbowl. In the Power Rankings we are number 1 for the best team right now.
+DolphinOfFire yeah but you guys lost alot in the aerial game with that playmaker jordy nelson. Randall cobb is randall cobb he'll do his job good but will the new receiver who fills in that roll do the same
buddyjesus Probably. Let's be honest here, we almost made it to the superbowl with Rodgers hopping on one leg. Hopefully we'll be able to play him some in the playoffs though.
Manning was actually statistically better than brady in the postseason and top 3 all time postseason if you adjust for the defenses they played. www.footballperspective.com/the-best-playoff-quarterbacks-in-the-super-bowl-era/ Here's a statistical analysis of playoff qbs. goes up to 2014. Factor in brady today and he goes from #11 to #5 but still slightly worse than manning. These are leverage adjusted as well, so bigger games get bigger weights. @@boxingfan5377 Peyton played much tougher passing defenses in the SB, 2nd best in the bears, 8th in the saints, 1st in the panthers and seahawks. The bucs went from 7-9 to 11-5 because their defense went from 29th in the league to 7th.
This was the game knocked Peyton out the goat conservation, showed Brady was better imo. Definitely killed the debate. With those weapons no way Brady loses.
