I literally knew DeVotchKa's every song by heart. Known for years. It's almost surreal to hear something new from them after years of hearing old favourites. I love this band, and I have loved them since I was a child. I'm very pleased with this.

There is such craft in their music, with that immeasurable mixture of nostalgia,longing, and regret; never over done never self absorbed pity. Only the thoughts and feelings of life lived by one who loved much.

One of my favorite bands. Beautifully flowing, romantic, unique music. I met them in concert in New Orleans at Voodoo Fest about six years ago. Took a picture with the lead singer. He was holding a bottle of wine...it was a magical night.

Sometimes it's hard for me to not live in my head... and some part of this amazing songs depicts what it's like... but the most important thing for me to remember's that takes FREAKING TIME to FEEL BETTER. EVERY DAY IS A PROCESS TO GET TO GOOD THINGS IN LIFE.

Saw these guys on September 29.... My God!!!! It was all perfection. The opening band was awesome. And DeVotchKa started the concert with The Alley. Easily my top 5 from them. This being one of them now. I adore you guys. Wish you had more exposure, but then again, you're like a personal gift to the select few that adore you!!!!
