You could but you might find that it is actually too thick when you add xantham gum. Our protein is formulated with an 80/20 whey isolate and casein with a full gram of MCT per serving. With a little patience, you don't need to add anything but ice and water to get this result!
Can I use ice, protein powder, and milk instead of water. It should be creamier and thicker with milk instead. Also frozen berries.... Can add more flavor and consistency.
Absolutely! Get creative with your fluff! We like to show how delicious and creamy it is with just water, ice, and our super versatile protein, but feel free to use any liquid you like. We've made creamsicle fluff with low cal OJ and Angel Food Cake, or switch into smoothie mode with frozen berries, spinach, yogurt... Go ahead and get creative!
I've been buying devotion protein powder since meeting you at the wlsfa in Orlando and I've never once made fluff. Time for that to change! I have every flavor that you have including the butter blend and I'm thinking that tonight I'm going to use the angel food with a packet of sweet caramel and a monkey bread because I don't have any more creme brulee left! 😍
We can't promise you'll have the same results. Our protein is a whey isolate/casein blend with MCT. I'm not sure what your issue you have with whey protein, but if it has anything to do with digestion or gut issues... our formula does have 6+ important digestive enzymes. A lot of people who have issues with other proteins don't have them with Devotion because of the high quality formula we use. Also, we offer trial packs on our site, so you can try it out before committing to a full size tub!
1 scoop protein, 2 cups ice, 1 cup water is an excellent starting point. On rare occasion, I've had to add a little more water because it gets so thick!
If you split it into 2 servings, you can put half of it in the freezer to chill it while you eat the first part. Or add some xanthan gum to thicken it up a bit
I've never used a BlendTec. Patience is key to a creamy, fluffy protein fluff. A food processor or high powered blender, such as a vitamix or ninja are known to produce very similar results.
A ninja is always an excellent choice and we all have our preferences! We make fluff in a food processory, the nutribullet, and Vitamix as well. It simply depends on the how BIG we want to go! Enjoy!
