A DeWALT light! Well we test a 12v 2amp, 12v 5amp and a 20v 5amp battery for extended run time in this light. We also show different functions and mounting positions of it. So let’s check this DeWALT 2000 LUMEN light out.
I love this light, do yall have any of the new DeWALT impact wrenches? Didn't know if yall use them much, I work on hydraulic equipment I use mostly impact wrenches, DeWALT of course...
Most our impacts are Milwaukee(I initially wanted red impacts to hide grease better) however we purchased a mid sized DeWALT 20v impact to keep on the van for construction needs. We prefer the DeWALT over the equivalent Milwaukee just from how the impacts are slower and more controllable. I know it’s rated at about the same power as the Milwaukee but it’s just easier to use when running long bolts or lags in. The DeWALT will turn a galvanized 5/8 bolts faster and tighter with lower impact hits. If you watch our channel you will find out I’m not brand loyal just like great tools. Appreciate the comment.
You noted the similarity in runtimes with 12v 5ah versus 20v 5ah, but is there a difference in brightness? (i would think the 20 would "broadcast" ;) more light)
I can't get with DeWalt lights or fans. They're the only major tool of the big three that do not have an ac plug. The 4000 lumen Milwaukee Rover could also mount on the pole the same as the DeWalt light. I'm not brand loyal for tools either. I'm giving the Flex tripod light a go atm. I like that the light head removes from the tripod. Giving a small 4000 lumen light with rafter hooks. I'm guessing the age of the 20v 5ah is why the 12v 5ah performed so much better.
Gen 1 of the DeWALT fan had a plug in. They chose to eliminate it on the current fan. We really haven’t missed it on either the light or fan but DeWALT’s tripod light doesn’t have it as well. That’s the one that really annoys us not having a plug in.
