Dewalt sent me out their atomic drill/driver and impact set to take a look at and give them my feedback. Honestly, it's been sitting in my shop for way too long and found todays toolsday a good reason to open them up. I feel like in todays world, there are way too many options for drills and impact sets and for the most part, no matter what you choose, they will do the job, but are they for the PRO? For me, this set sits in the middle with the average tool that will do the tasks at hand for the average person. I wouldn't put them in my trailer for the jobsite, but I don't think that was their purpose.
With that in mind, understand this set, in my opinion, was great until I saw the 1.5 amp batteries. To me they are useless, but for a homeowner or DIY who won't use these on all day demanding applications, it's probably okay. at $179 for the kit, I think its a good deal.
