Question. Inside the motor, The top drive piece that holds the bit.. why does it seem like mine needs compressed to fit back into the housing? I can’t get mine back together nicely, and you just seem to set yours right into place.
How hard is it just to change the spindle number 36 on exploded diagram or do I just buy a new drill. Mine has got dents in from ball bearing causing drill bit to slip
They are good, don't get to many in with motor problems but they do eventually snap the pin and ball the drives the piston, shears the cam shaft drive or the piston grease dries out and distorys the piston. All repairable. I don't see these these problem with the makita sds brushless drills
Sorry, this was an older video. Was just getting into posting vids, didn't talk very much in them to explain. The change lever is not going into the hammer drill or hammer only mode. Something was stopping it from turning the full way. Had to strip it down to find the problem. The change lever cam was packed out with grease and dust, blocking it and stopping it rotating. Cleaning a few parts out simply got it working right again.
