I have this hammer, i used it with long drill bits (maybe i stressed it too much) and now when i use the rotary drill function i can see the the tipping point of the drill bits swirling around. What do you think i need to replace, what can be broken? The hammer function works fine, but as a rotary drill (without hammering swtiched on) i can't make precision holes when the tipping point doesn't stay firm on his axis! Thanks you very much in advance for every suggestion and help!
@@riccardograsselli9465 I think the main tube is bent unfortunately when you buy the parts and fit them it wouldn't be worth doing. I would suggest buying the same model again and keeping the old one for parts or as a back up
Thank you for your comments and verbal support on every single thing that you did. Especially concerning the sheared crank assembly and proper push back action of piston when the right O-ring was asserted. The replacement items, lubrication links and transcript were also very helpful.
I really like this one doc!! Very detailed and helpful. I'm fairly confident that I can do this same repair after watching and learning from you!! Thanks again doc!!
Great job lad..the only thing I would comment on is when you are prying the hammer tube up and out of the case... Keep your hand away from the back end... I have had ones before that have broke the c clip holding the gear and spring on.. it can come out like a bullet... But that was well done and we'll explained... Take care my friend.
Use light grease inside the tube in the sliding parts Heavy grease on the cogs Ebay for the o.ring www.ebay.co.uk/itm/386435103102?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ctxmdqtptf-&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=cjPn_ZfdQLW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Very detailed video, thanks Doctor. Just wondering where can I buy a spare 3 pin connector at the bottom of the drill for D25303DH dust extractor? I have checked everywhere but can't find it.
Got the brushed version so while giving it a clean up i checked an seen someone's been in it and the grease looks green, not sure if it's the right stuff but the machine works fine only problem is hammer drill and hammer mode makes a really loud clacking when you pull the trigger more than half way.
@@doctorlefthandthread the insides seemed fine, nothing out of place from what i saw, didn't take the hammer assembly apart though so maybe its in there
I went over to Dean Doherty's channel, but it has been hacked in the last couple of days. I am repairing a 273 which has a broken crank shaft. I might have a problem fixing it as I don't own a bearing press or puller. Any suggestions? Thanks a Million.
Likely the washer down the tube on the striker number 37 or 41 on the parts diagram that's where the issue is www.partshopdirect.co.uk/dewalt-dch273-rotary-hammer-spare-parts-s15448/
