Great video Colt. You had nothing to lose by taking it apart and seeing what was going on. But in the end you ended up saving yourself about a 100 bucks cad. So it was a win win in my books
Hi ya bud, only thing I have done differently is I had the same issue on another make, is I put a small amount of electrical tape around the brush wire, then put a small amount of petroleum jelly around the tape so it would slide inside the housing where the wire sits, works like a gooden, good job though, really enjoying your video's, heard about you from Peg at zip ties.

Suspecting an electrical problem, it's a mystery to me why one would start by removing the head instead of the back to check first the cord, brushes and switch - in that order.
Just bought one of these....its a dwe 4120w.9 amp...yours looked really good on the inside...how old is it?...i also picked up a new Milwaukee 11 amp...got a great deal on both so i said why not?..both Dewalt and Milwaukee...and also Makita are great grinders.great video sir.
