Jedino rešenje je ponovno premotavanje rotora. Sve drugo je kratkog trajanja, što se vidi na videu da rotor i dalje varniči a sigurno neče dugo trajati !
They make commutator draw blades just for that purpose. I got carried away once on a GM starter and went pretty deep. Sounded like a Mopar starter afterward....lol.Chinese-made router....commutators are cheap if available.
Great video-thanks! I have an old B&D bench grinder that suddenly stopped while I was using it...hard! It got pretty hot. Now it just buzzes. When off spins freely but turning it on magnetized it and locks it in place. Any ideas? Brushes? Thank you.
There's couple of things you can check,1 check the carbon brushes 2-your bearings or bushes might worn out,on turning it on armature magnetized to the core.
@@ZutiDIY I took it apart today. No brushes? It’s a simple motor. Just power to wrapped copper wire and a metal shaft that spins in the center. I checked everything today. All connections good. At one point it started working!! But started buzzing again. Thanks for your help
@@ZutiDIY I have this same problem with a 12 volt 4wd motor. It spins freely but when I turn it on, it locks up. There is no sign of damage inside but clearly, I’m missing something :/
I dont use sand paper.. I use fine plastic finger mail file or fine metal file.since brushed are even i want the contacts to be even as well send paper will help but better to use something solid like sanding block
So interesting...So all the elongated commutator bars should be in contact. The ones that were not making contact indicated the fault ?? I don't know if I've accurately assessed what's going on here without technical knowledge hehe
Hi sir, about testing using the light bulb, how u connect the wire because at the video i saw u twisted the both of it.so i little bit confused which one positive & negative.
@ sairex5856 just letting you it’s alternating current A/C no positive & negative. But I couldn’t tell you why they were doubled and twisted. Nor did I learn how to find the short just look for the most sparks… lol
That is a hit or miss thing. I had this defect three times. This repair worked once. Be happy when it does. It's a decent machine! But I'm not a fan of applying solder to the rotor. That beast rotates FAST. If you get it out of balance, it will quickly vibrate itself to death.
@@seymourwrasse3321 If it works, it works! I know contractors that use ryobi on construction sites. Because the Hilti, Metabo and Bosch Pro get stolen all the time. ;)
@@MyJootube This is what I was looking for, I just bought a rotary tool and saw tiny sparks, was wondering if it is defective, but this video seemed to show otherwise. It is when those sparks become gigantic that I should be concerned then.
I have a Bosch router and I experience that the RPM changes and not steady , slow , very slow normal , anyone have any idea on that highly appreciated.
@@kingg283 not yet , but I will , because I need that tool , I bought one Chinese one less than 10 dollars , it was working well till it starts to kick back and the plastic cover was broken so I just use it as a spare parts .
This tool made sparks. Multimeters only give values and most of the times these values are very very close to each other, making it difficult to find where exactly is the short circuit in the commutator.
•.• the light was sort of in series, he cut one side ( either positive or negative)making it a switch which lights the bulb when the two wires are connected together •.•
I think the problem was the type of spark, not sparking in general. At first, the sparking was coming from a specific place and there was also sound of electric shorting, meaning that is a short. At the end, the sparking was coming from rotation, which can be normal with brushed tools. I could be wrong thought.
In india whenever electronics device get problem u go to technician. he will see u with device and laugh now i cut the goat 🐐. He make story device have that problem 7 days need to reapir that parts came from japan 😅and u have to pay advance 😂.if u pay advance than now u fucked up now another stories came in film he will make u left right months parcel came from japan 😅but in custom asking for tax have to pay 25percent 😅then now u have to gave money or ur advance is loss😂. He play minds games pressure u .😂😂😂😂😂. Every indian technician stories
so after all that nonsense , it,s still sparking like a bitch . which means the armature is done ,and needs replacing .the only time sparks like that are ok ,is when a new set of brushes are put in ,and it quickly goes away ,as soon as the brushes bed in ,if it,s still sparking ,the armature is knackered ,just replace it .
First of all, don't buy a ryobi brand, it's the worst machines ever made, I've had nothing but trouble from them, rather a Japanese make, like Makita etc.
