Good Afternoon My Good Big Bro Paul The Scraper & Pallet Man Sir & God Bless You & Renee & All Of You're Whole Family & I Am Still Praying For You & Renee & All Of You're Whole Family This Afternoon
At my job every year all powertools and are thrown away and replaced. About 70$k worth. Some are pretty far gone, but most are still perfectly servicable. Its all some kind of crazy tax dodge scheme. Plus in the name of ’safety’.
I remember going to a bridal expo with my sister once. One table was guys who did home building who had a drawing to register for. First prize was a nice trip. Second prize was a Sawsall. They were surprised I was more excited by the Sawsall. The trip was to a warm, sandy beach area of the sort that makes me nuts. Gimme a good power tool any old time! (LOL)
My brother in law does the exact same stuff. He doesn't think about all he could make if he sold it to someone instead of getting hosed by a scrap yard
@@ScrapPalletMan I don't necessarily go junk collecting for metal scrap as much as to see what our neighbors don't want anymore. I found a junk folding table and a junk stool. Perfect for having a project table that I can pull out every now and then that doesn't take up space.
Loved the table but I know how it is let it go great on Dewalt that was Awesome Loved seeing how they mash the scrape into cubes God Bless Thanks for letting me be a back seat driver to your scraping It is beautiful where you are You all stay blessed Take care and again thanks for posting
Those tools!! 👍 I have the same charger and battery. Look closely. I think the flashing red means "Charging". Great find even if the battery doesn't charge.
I know your town I was born in Chicago and I lived in Downers Grove. I have been all over those the area. If I found the table I would keep it. That is a cool table. You got blessed. Keep the faith brother.
I used to do this, when I lived in Colorado Springs, and when I lived in California, Eureka/North. I made so much money, from the trash it was ridiculous. Blows my mind what people throw away. 😉❕ The stories I've got. 📝
Awesome video Paul, those tools was the score of the day. I was glad when they all worked. To see your faith in Jesus is so heart warming. You give thanks always, even for the little things. And that my brother is where it is at. In all things give thanks. Blessings on you always.
What a wonderfully grateful attitude you have got. That is the major take-home that I got from watching this. You have reminded me to be more grateful. Thank you, sir.
@7:45 I pulled an ice maker out of a skip. I gave it to an electrician who said there was nothing wrong with it. I gave it to a friend who eventually plugged it in, and Voilá! Ice baby!
I really appreciate and enjoy the work your doing. Wish I had an older pick up to help the environment while making the means to make rounds like you. I love how you give glory and thanks to our Heavenly Father
Always good to see ur videos Paul. Always interesting to see what kind of cool stuff that u find. Hopefully you only find holy scrap. Wowers that's definitely a good find. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend Paul. Keep recycling. Keep picking. Keep scraping. Keep making. God bless.
It's too bad you did not take that box to store your sawsall. The blades are expensive. Oh well , you got the main part. God bless you and thanks for sharing your day.
Thank you for taking us along on your journey. Our local municipalities don't allow people to put scrap out like they do where you live so I have to scrap vicariously through you 😊👍
Hey Paul ! Liken the videos ! Those older dewalt tools won’t hold a charge that long and need the batteries rebuilt. They come apart and have a series of what looks like AA batteries inside. You can order replacements that will hold a full charge for quite awhile. I found mine on eBay under dewalt replacement rechargeable batteries. I don’t think they were all that much either. Good luck and God bless !
You was talking about the sawz all. My husband was singing Happy Holidays, a Christmas Carol. He stopped mid song and asked me what a merrybell was. What? You know, when merrybells are ringing happy holidays to you. Oh, its merry space bells, when merry bells are ringing. Oh, I've wondered all day what a merrybell was. Me- 🤦♀️ I didn't laugh at him, we've all had blonde moments. Enjoy your videos. Stay safe, GOD bless, and Merry Christmas
A neighbor had a Black & Decker electric lawn mower at the curb with a FREE sign on it. I brought it home and plugged it in. When I turned it on, it screamed at me. I pulled the cover off, checked the top and bottom bearings and just added 3 drops of 90 weight oil to both bearings. I sharpened the blade and it has been giving me fantastic service for 8 years so far.
I sure hope all the workers wear ear protection. I could watch them work all day making cubes. The noise would drive me crazy! Have a wonderful rest of your day.
Yes somethings I think people in need , it would be nice to give it to them, Jesus would ,like the bed frame that was so nice to think of other people that can use stuff
Thank you for another great video. No second-guesses from this seat in the Peanut Gallery on what you do with whatever you find on the curb. Utility is in the eye of the beholder. 🙂
Paul, I love your sense of humor! And it cracks me up every time you say, “ really”! Some people might say I’m easily amused, but you are so funny. I love your channel and it never fails to bring a smile to my face and warmth to my heart. Thank you for bringing the message. Take care, stay safe.
Id rather just throw it away than get a few bucks Dealing with people on fb marketplace isn't worth the money to me. Or the wasted time. Too many ways i can make money elsewhere without the hassle
Thank you for letting us hang out with you Paul! Awesome finds with the Dewalt tools! I got some good news a brewing but can't say what yet. It's work related. I will definitely fill you in when I know more. God bless you Paul and have a great week!
@@ScrapPalletMan I've been pulling 75+ hours a week since the beginning of October. Going out of town working at other terminals that are way behind. Trying to get them in order but it's tough for sure!
You really got an awesome score with those tools. It was interesting watching a cube being formed for some reason I thought the orange thing was a machine that kind of worked like a trash compacter . Looks like you had a pretty good day. Your friend will be happy to get the bed frame. Blessings during this Holiday season to you and yours. MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄🎄Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
My Mrs wants me to buy her a running machine , yet I see loads of them dumped in the scrap man's lorry everyday. As for DeWalt tools the battery packs are to expensive . I have a cheap £20 cordless drill I have had for nearly 3 years and as a carpenter I use it close to everyday and it's just started to rattle a bit but still another few months in it yet . Buying dear don't necessarily mean good . I'm glad you do your bit for the environment as it would all end up in landfill . Top work .
Lot of microwaves have a cooling fan that runs for a while after the cooking time is done. It's not still radiating, it's just cooling itself down. Microwave I got about a year ago does that and it scared me the first time I used it. Then I read the manual finding out about the cool down process.
Great video Paul if anyone deserves all those tools you do God is great I absolutely loved that table it very unusual wow you tossed it in the skip lol Thanks Paul
I used to own a tipper trailer /dumper tou over the atlantic , all the locals would dump all metals in the trailer so when I was doing the scrap run from my shop I allways had a little extra to cover my fuel
i've found some expensive stuff like that when i was in California too... keyboards (musical), office chairs, all kinds of good stuff- tools etc.. It's amazing what some people will throw out-- and a lot they should DONATE but they don't want to take the time..
Hello brother Paul. Just wanted to tell you that I was watching your videos while i had my broken ankle. I go out and scrap now and making some good money!!!! It is so fun to.GOD BLESS.
It's kind of nice that it looks like they tried to fix the treadmill before throwing it out. The trouble with some of those "smart" ones is the treadmill pulls too much power and overloads the circuit boards.
Good scrap run Paul. Tools?, amazing, how can people just trash them? That Table though, surprised you chucked it away, sure would have been a good one for re-sale. It is up to you as you know the pros and cons of re-sale especially the time it takes and when buyers no show. Hope there will be a few more videos before Christmas. Go steady mate. Phil.
I wanted to make sure I sent you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Paul. God Bless you in 2022 Brother and keep you Healthy and Wealthy. Deck the halls with pounds of scrappage .......
Okay...I used to think scrapping is just kind of a low-end job. You know, because anyone can do it. After watching this video of actually watching someone do it, I have to say I've changed my mind about it. It's actually a really good thing to do for a neighborhood because it reuses resources instead of just landfilling them. Mad respect. And whoever just threw those dewalt tools away...jackass! Donate them to a school or sell cheap to a pawn shop so that people can use them to earn a living. A lot of people can't afford to buy them new, but I'm sure they'd love to have some quality tools when doing carpentry, construction or for personal use. Don't waste perfectly good resources like that...even if you are done with them!
Quit being a back seat driver and calling people jackasses for tossing tools. These models are old and non lithium batteries and to buy the non lithium batteries are a waste of money. Even the adapter that’s available is over priced and sucks. I get what you are saying about recycling but calling people names over it? Nah maybe look in a mirror.
I have to say this is one of my favorite channels for scrapping. I am a scrapper myself and I love making videos. I love your love for God. God is good. Thank you for your great videos you inspire me. Scrapping with Grandpa is my other channel. Again very inspirational person.
I'm just glad he was there to rescue them! even those empty cases can be worth quite a bit sometimes. I never understand why people throw away good working things, sell or donate to a thrift store or something, or like you said someone who could use them. Rich people don't usually think about that stuff!
Good morning Paul, I was surprised as well about the table. And the appliances, that oven looked unused....and I think you missed the cord on it. Would have loved to see if the ice maker worked. Have a great day and God bless you in your endeavors. Happy holidays to you and your family. ☃️
I thought you might be checking that and the ice maker to see if they worked or not, I liked the table too,but I understand that you can't keep everything you think you want!
Wow. $3.559 a gallon for fuel. $2.999 here in Bama. Great find with DeWALT tools. Enjoy your show. My wife and I have binged watched every episode this past few months. Your a great witness for our Heavenly Father. May God continue to bless you.
When I started collecting stuff, I wasn't necessarily looking for anything. I stumbled across a battery jump starter as I was out bicycling. We didn't really need it because we already had a jump starter. But, I decided to take it home anyway to see if it could be fixed. We had collected enough Amazon points that we were able to replace the battery for free. About a year later, the battery in our car died. However, even though we already had a jump starter, the battery in that jump starter had died. Fortunately, there was the jump starter I had replaced the battery in and I was able to take the car to get the battery replaced. On reflection, I think God had me stumble across that jump starter because He knew we would need it later. I've been collecting various items our neighbors left by the road ever since. Some highlights of the things I found are: A slightly broken cat tree that could have been worth $100 new. It just needs a nut and bolt to keep a particular column steady. Three dog beds that just needed some cleaning and re-stuffing that were potentially worth $50-100 new each. (On a side note but just as amazing of a find because of its usefulness in this situation, I found some foam a neighbor was throwing out.) A battery desulfator. Although, it didn't save the battery. But, it did direct me to replace one battery over another first. (Long story. Let's just call it providence.) At least six computer monitors across three houses. I even found a motherboard with the CPU and RAM still in place...and it worked. I had to do some jury-rigging because I didn't have a compatible heat-sync for the CPU. But, I got it working. A Black & Decker string trimmer. Although, it didn't have the spool cap on it. But, I wound find a compatible spool cap and spool at another house...along with a Black & Decker corded drill. By the way, all the electronics I found worked.
Wow what a great find with the tools and table . God is good and always supplies our needs . 😋🙏💜💚 Love watching your channel with my special needs daughter with rare genetic cdkl5 deleation rare epilepsy. She is a daughter of a King ( Jesus ) and he supplies all our needs .🙏🙏❤💚💜
those dewalts you can get new batteries for them. They still sell them and they will be cheaper than the lithium because those are NiCad batteries that add up to 18 volts. Good equipment. You can also take some rubbing alcohol to get that sharpie and other dirt off of them to make them look a bit cleaner. Dc9096 is a model number of one of the batteries for it.
Like watching Market place vehicles for sale; runs but transmission slips or doesn't go in reverse $7,000. SAY WHAT!? I especially love the NO TITLE vehicles. You legally cannot sell any motor vehicle with no title. With the advent of Lithium batterys, those using Nicad batteries are obsolete and I see so many being trashed. They are fine for the occasional home owner but not for the professional construction worker, thats why you find them in the trash. Its virtually impossible getting replacement batterys now as well. Being I work with electronics, I like to convert those older Nicad batterys into Lithium batterys. It can be done, I have done it many times.
Those directv boxes are power injectors. They are used for devices like amplifiers in the satellite coax cable that dont have thier own power supplies.
I had to laugh at the lawn mower and wheel. First you with the "I'm trying to get home...but NOOoooo!" Then the wheel wobbling around. Lol! Does that Sawsall swalliwezzasawall have the end that takes the blade? It looked a little short? That table looked good for the shop but it was too light-weight and wouldn't have stood up to any heavy use. Great video Paul!
Woo hoo! 1st Never been 1st before. I'm honored. BBIAM. Ya know, no matter what year the GM line of trucks, when the door closes, it always sounds the same. Hey Paul, isn't 420 a good number? I'm glad you are feeling good and making good bank on your runs. Just don't over-do it.
A lady who worked with my sister kept asking if my sister would like to try some "Putchkey" coffee. It took several days for my sister to figure out that it was "Portugese" coffee.
