DHK Maximus first run on 4S - Stock 

80wt shock oil, a jx 20kg servo and brace the shock towers and this thing is a beast

I put in that jx servo for my first upgrade and it's been so much better. I went to 60w oil in the shocks and noticed 3 out of 4 of the top rubber bladders were torn so I repaired them with super glue and it's now really dialed in. So much better ride than it was. Also vas my on off power switch came up and down and I haven't had a problem with it switching off on me.

I've been looking at this truck since it was out of stock an cheaper. Great video I always watch you for durability of products and appreciate your bashing, good job.

Of all the different "side brands" i have seen, this one seems like the best one! How is the spare parts avaibility??

I think the Chassis slap probably saved the plastic arms. I wouldn't go to stiff on the suspension. Don't seem like a bad truck over all. Price tag is just right too. I have to go back & watch the unboxing again. Lol 😆

These DHK rigs are solid for the money, IMO. Aside from the switch issues, looks like it gets favorable marks from you. Fantastic vid brother! 👊👍👊

I believe the problem is not the servo, it‘s a dead zone around the steering center position, which comes from the transmitter steering potentiometer or even from the transmitter or receiver software. You can test it, if you lift the front wheels off the ground and then move the steering wheel around the center position. A lot of cheap Chinese 2.4GHz remotes have this problem.

Had this same discussion a while ago. Banggood & Gearbest will not ship this DHK to Australia due to restrictions as Hobby HQ have exclusive distribution rights locally. Used to be about $430AUD but now around $600. Can't see how they're gunna sell many !! Correct me if I'm wrong.

It's kind of a bigger, faster and more expensive Xinlehong 9125 with that wide wheel base, sounds interesting!

I have an optimus. I like it a lot, but it won't drive straight for nothing? I put a better servo in it, and it did better, but there is a lot of play in the steering linkage. Good video!

Yeah I bought one a while back first thing to go was the foam in the tires they just disintegrated Linda Scerbo started on fire and the suspension just sucks just dump the shocks put better shocks on it that's what I found out to be overall though I wouldn't buy another one not pleased with mine not for the price I don't think a lot of aluminum on it though

Vas i think this truck is very noisy as compared to all of your trucks may be central diff oil needs to be lighter im not sure and also servo change is a must at least to 15 Kg, one thing i noticed and correct me if im wrong the esc needs to be reprogrammed you might want to increase the power its very boring at its current shape. Anyway well done.

Just ordered one... I saw alot of bashing videos and not too many mechanical Fails...A bit pricy cause of the shipping cost from china but....IF ya really want it ya gotta pay Life is too short....No one in this country had one for less than china price plus shipping - so... had to bite the bullet

You cannot get this shipped to Australia from Banggood. Hobby Headquarters in Sydney are the Australian distributor and have put a stop to direct imports on DHK products. As a result they are no where near as good value...

Hi From England . The Maximus Good Points there Cheap . Bad Points are you Ready . They Go Like Stink on full Throttle Now The Primary Diff Pinions will Erode away very Quickly Leaving You With a Crunching Pinion to Planetary Pick Up in the Plastic Diff Housing The Pinions will move and chew The planet pickup Mine is a Month Old and it's in bit's after it's First Run On it's New Gool Motor Slightly Bigger Motor Than the stock Unit . it started to Fail on the stock Motor . Now Rear Stub Axles will Bend Partly due to Poor Fitting Bearings and None of the Hub Bearings are sealed they have used Non sealed Units this has caused two of mine to Seize and the NSF was Turning On the inner bearing Sleeve Grit will get in them very quickly and mess shit up . also the CV'S On the Diff Front distort quick and eat in to the walls of the Joint Mine seemed to Have More Power To the Front Axle Rather than the rear . I have less inner Cv damage on the Rear Diff than the front . ALL The hub Bearings are a very poor fit and quality They have a flaw in the shock Towers too there too weak at the pick up area for the aluminium Plate .Two out of 4 Shocks Bent Check the Wiring on the motors mine was very poor quality wiring in at the motor . ESC Up to now no problems . and likes the new Motor too it pulls 87 amps at 4 s running up to 50.000 rpm . The Motor i used is a Gool RC S3764 2650KV . The Standard RC Controller Seems to Suffer a Delay on throttle up So if you want it to last then up grade the diff housings for Ali ones You can buy Shock tower Strut Braces for them even a Ali Centre Diff Housing Do the Bottom arms for Ali they bend and Upgrade the hubs For the Ali Units . The 9K Servo is ok . There Great but not great soft screws too this is not good . Don't be Put off them they are fun .but to make it a monster that works long term then much of the stock castings have to go . Enjoy .

Do you know a „cheap“ (kess than 500$) fast (80-90 km/h or around 50-60 mph) and relireable 1/8 scale rc car you can easily her spare Parts (also cheap if possible )? PS: i have a Thunder Tiger mt4 G3 i Drive on 4s (80-90 km/h or under 60mph) and hell Its Heavy.... (my arm still hurts because i had to carrie it for about 4-5 km) 😂
