I have been a massive skeptic of almost all drone delivery companies, due to understanding the technical and legal aspects at play. I have to say, this actually looks really legitimately promising and its the correct application and place to prove out the concept. Anyone who thought these were going to be buzzing around cities by now, was just buying into hype. Good to see real world use.

Nice video. You can fix the audio problem by putting a compressor on your voice and raising the 'output gain'. That will both prevent your voice from going too loud while boosting your quiet tones. Also suggest putting a 'low cut filter' on your voice at about 80Hz. You can use the 'equalizer' or 'low cut filter' to do that. It will greatly help with audibility by reducing the muffled tones in your deep voice. With these tools you can balance the volume of your voice with other audio sources that you use in your video.

So you can have drone redundancy, or practicality like the DHL. Just different approaches with different ups and downs. The DHL can return parcels, which is a big plus

@Moor Wakanda cmon dude...i am an African fully aware of the exploitation of our continent...i totally get it. but i am also from a country where black leaders steal from the same black people. I am tired of only seeing us as hungry, broken and suffering with only the 'good ones' celebrating with champagnes in upmarket locations. i would like to see solutions that benefit also the rural folk too. Solutions, wherever they come from, but hopefully more from us too.

Crystal clear HD video with an audio track THAT ABSOLUTELY SUCKS !! Learn the audio technology or put the camera down. Hint: professional audio hardware is separate from the camera.

"DHL seems to be the only delivery company actually doing the work and gathering data about real use cases" etc. The narrator is using sneaky wordplay to distort many facts in several of his statements. This comes across as an ad for DHL. Do your research on Zipline and others to get the true facts.

I wonder how much range was sacrificed to give the drone VTOL capabilities. Zipline has a 50 mile operating radius from the launch/ capture station. To increase the functionality of this drone they definitely had to sacrifice some range, add some weight, and add complexity increasing the likelihood of failures. The question is how much did they give up, and was it enough that it negatively impacts the real world usefulness of the drone?

Seems like none of the basic safety regulations apply to them. Flying over private property, over homes, over people, over cars and roads, flying out of operators line of sight, and not having a spotter. It's not safe for them to do this any more then it is for hobbyists to do it.😞

Well to be fair in this case technology is used to improve quality of life, instead of worsening it. No one is being thrown out of job by these drones and they are not for surveillance and military purpose. Maybe in Africa they have a chance to escape Gibsonian trap like Europe escaped Malthusian trap.
