Diablo 2: The Terrifying Demoness Andariel, Maiden of Anguish in Sisters to the SLAUGHTER 

Seems pretty odd that the only way east would be through a Cathedral's catacombs and that Diablo would be worried that some level 15 paladin (or whatever else) might be after him.

To this day I am boggled at how the atmospheric theme and ambience just so present in the gameplay at the first few minutes of the clip can emulate so much of what makes this game so memorable. I kept playing the clip over and over, listening to the rain tracks, studying the grass and building sprites, the isometric angle of the game world, and this isn't even with the legendary music. 20 years later I'm still enchanted, and for the life of me I can't seem to put a finger on what formula is used to design this part of act 1.

I've been a fly on the wall for some time now but shiet, you need some serious praise babe. I love nerding myself into the lore of my favorite fantasies, and I love a general runthrough of a game with the main theme, good guys, badguys and twists. I'v sat hours just listening to a main story about sith vs jedi, good vs evil, heaven vs... you get it. The thing you do though, you notice the lost/cut/mini/-stories of the games that alot of us grew up on. I felt awesome clearing the den of evil for the first time, i felt clever to find the countess in the tower, but i still havent seen a thourough vid of it like you do. You do a helluva lot of work to please an enthusiastic (maybe small) group of people. If i'd have a plate helmet with a visor, i'd raise that said visor in your presence.

First the sick slaughtering of rogues, commited by some radical skaters, now a passageway through a dank jail, filled with dense clouds of weedsmoke. Your videos rock, my dude. I played through Diablo countless times, but despite being interested in the complete lore, I could never be bothered to actually listen to the slow paced dialogues, so those videos really help a lot and entertain greatly! Please keep it up and do the whole Diablo 2 series! I would've said subbed now, but I already subbed after your first D2 video, pwnd.

i remember i used to think this boss was hard as a kid cos i never thought to grind xp. Years later i learned how to play rpgs better and beat her (after finding a working copy online) after like friggin 10 years

“...she is not fond of fire.” That always seemed important to me in my original playthru. With Andariel being so large, is it possible that she would take damage from the pillars of fire in the floor? Great vid as always!

i still remember my first run, act1 was MAGICAL, so DARK and atmospheric, act2 was interesting as well, but lost the darkness(except for the cool eclipse), and then we all know act3 brings the gears back :D

I've always loved how Diablo II has these small exchanges with the NPCs during quest progress. It's a small thing that most players probably overlook or skip, but adds so much in the immersion.

I just hope D4 would be good and dark like this.

Andariel was part of Diablo I cut content. In Diablo II, Andariel as Act I boss but a different character unlike succubus like in D1. I am looking forward for Act II stories in D2.

It always bothered me that the Rouges live in a monastery. Only monks live in a monastery, not women! If you want to call the Rouges headquarters a convent or a cloister then thats fine! But who the fuck made the ignorant decision to call a place where only women live a monastery? Sometimes I can hardly believe that this has gone unnoticed for this long!

ahh D2 haha those were the days :) i kinda miss looting grabby korean kids blind :P we even used bug-runes and bug-weapons on lvl9 assas on no xp setting for that to take out lvl99s and loot them … some say we broke the game back then but i say they just should have fixed those juicy bugs then :P my fav was that weapon who had its source code instead of a name so u couldnt mouseover it without having the entire screen full with that one name tag haha. xD
