VERY important: there's a bug with SALVAGING ANCESTRALS. It's being reported that if you salvage an ancestral item, that aspect can no longer be upgraded until you salvage a *better ancestral aspect*! This is a bug and should be fixed but it might be good to keep in mind! Thank you for this video, it's exactly what I needed!!
@@darsynia Not sure I understand. "Aspect can no longer be upgraded"...how? The only way to upgrade an aspect is to salvage a higher aspect anyways... what am I missing here?
@@darsynia It was reported and proven through videos that this bug is not real. somebody either made it up or didn't fullyunderstand how upgrading aspects in the expansion works. you can keep salvaging your ancestrals without any worries.
@@dangarcia1617 I was on T4. Needed the gold after resetting the masterwork a ridiculous amount of times. Might have been a bug, but I’m not gonna try it again
@@Razyel2340if you need a guide like this to farm In d4 I feel like your a moron. This is a beyond easy game with no depth. Player count has already dropped half after first week of expansion release.
I'm glad you commented on the trade prices. If you do not rip someone off selling a god roll, bot, or buy gold from a third party site the prices are unobtainable without target farming gold for a week straight. I just play with what I get. I refuse to contribute the the BS and more people should do that and continue to call them out and openly mock them.
@@DarknessXevil its because chinese gold is cheap. its 1b for $1 right now. So as long as people have access to unlimited billions of gold for couple of bucks, people will continue charging 100s of Billions of gold for best items.
Opals are also supposed to give you drops at the end of Pit and IH runs. IH probably takes a bit too long for that to be usefull but if you are speedfarming lower pits it should still be fine.
So is it that they increase the drop rate (and power?) of items that a mob was going to drop anyway? I noticed that I got really great loot out of pits and IH when I had the equipment opal running, but since I've been running mats and boss mats I get much worse drops in those but I do get lots more mats drops in helltides. That's what it seems to me like it's doing. It doesn't just flat out make mobs drop things they wouldn't normally drop.
@@itsame8470 yea the Opal is supposed to give you the stuff at the end of IH or Pit etc. - I feel like it is sometimes a bit inconsistent though. But yesterday I was using the equipment Opal as someone boosted me in the pit, I hit 60 before the boss and it dropped me enough items for every slot of my character (aside from a chest piece). I was getting roughly half an inventory in every pit run. I think the effect to end-to-run rewards isn't behaving as it should and as you say, only works if the activity gives what you are boosting already. At least it adds up to my experience. I'd have to test this in more detail tho. In under city the boss mat Opal seemed to give me a lot more boss mats combined with a boss mat tribute.
I swear, I love watching your content, so good, so informative, so helpful. I'm new to D4, been playing D3 only since S28 (Altar season), only started playing D4 late S5 and your content helps me IMMENSELY to get into the nitty-gritty of the game! Also thanks for the sheet! Cheers!
The opals still give you the stuff they’re supposed to in the pit/infernal hordes, it’s just at the end of the run and not right after you kill them. You’ll see a bunch of stuff drop off you when you kill the last boss before you open the chest.
I used a vacation day Thursday after release, and it happened to release after my last day of work for the week. Delayed start kind of sucked, but it wasn't too much to hit paragon 200 already. Infernal hordes, Helltide, repeat after hitting 60
good source of rawhide that is just as fast as whispers (many even faster) is the maiden helltide boss. Drops around 100 per kill and you can do it much faster than whispers
If you want to farm ancestrals just do 6 wave compasses and open up the item chests, i usually get 2-4 ancestrals from the boss and chest per run solo in t3
for the iron chunk bottleneck i've been looking for the 5 whisper point dungeons. do 2, get the cache, and get like 200 chunks from the cache. and more from all the items found from start to done. and i use subo in between with helltide to get items to salvage and find so many ores. within an hour i'll get about 1k chunks
For glyphs I found 8 of them back to back in the same nightmare dungeon after struggling to find the ones I need in the pit and doing whispers over and over, so yeah that’s definitely the best way to get glyphs
It depends if the tribute says for you only or for the team. There are 2 different descriptions for these. I specifically have not used one because it’s for a party and I’m waiting for all my friends to be on at the same time.
@@spunkj that's good to hear that there are ones that say for team for unique or legendary level, my friends and I have only seen them drop that says individual
Genuinely pisses me off that running rotations in a group is the best way to play the game. The developers really saw the player statistics which determined that a majority of D4 players are solo even when playing in a group is hundreds of times more efficient and still said "Let's add a new endgame event that's group play only and locks solo players out". Wild stuff.
Opals are dropping 2-4 at the end of a Realmwalker, and it feels that it is skewed to an average of just under 3. Maybe it's a difficulty thing, but at T1, I am getting 2 more than half the time, but have seen 4 once. It is really feeling less worth it than it should. Hopefully this will be better after 2.0.3 and the event speeds up a little.
On PS5. Did get back to back Ring of Starless skies, BUT since then, over 100 T3 runs as well and nothing since. I miss the last way where we could at least farm for guaranteed Sparks with new characters and I HATE the new way to craft mythics. It feels impossible
Yup, it's ridiculous. I have completed all the content in T4, along with all seasonal objectives, and all I'm doing now is farming rawhide to reset my masterworking to try for more optimal crits. Hilarious.
Thank you so much for this video, and all of the great guides at Maxroll. I've become a much better player with the help of the Maxroll content creators.
Yeah, compasses are arguably the most important mat in the game right now, farming-wise, but he doesn't mention them in the video? Maybe I missed something about them in the video, but it seems like a huge oversight since the most-asked question on the D4 subreddit right now is 'How do I get compasses in S6?'
So how do I get my first Mythic? I have done over 150 bosses in T3 and T4 and still not a single Mythic drop. Honestly losing motivation here as it feels like a total waste of time -.-
Quick question.. On the evade build why chose storm feather potency which is max 40 over Eagle damage which base max 80? Does potency do more than raise the damage? Thanks for the video!
@TheEternalVortex42 yes I know that. But if you put on eagle damage it makes storm feather damage much higher in the tooltip than storm potency.. so why one over the other what makes it better? I'm sure they have a good reason I would just like to know what it is.. I Tried to test it and seemed like eagle was better.. I'm on tier4 with just a few masterwork to 4 and on tier 4 with shit gear hitting for 20mil super fast speed farming pit 70s can only go up from here..
I’m not 100% sure but I think eagle damage is just a regular additive damage. But feather potency is a separate multiplier. When you have feather potency it’s like having the skill+1 level.
FYI crimson market kind of sucks on mobile if you use it on your phone turn it to desktop mode. It's being a pain in the ass to search things if you keep it in a mobile
Rune drop rates are pathetic. Been playing in Torment 4 and currently at 261. Been trying to farm 3 bac runes so I can finally forge the shroud mythic. I’ve done an immense number of battles against Uber bosses and I can count the number of mythics I’ve received on one hand and have received only 3 items with more than one ga. So I can’t go just random craft Mythics and hope I get what I want. Once the eternal xp grind drags character’s corpse to 300, I’ll be putting the season in the bin and wait for what the next season brings.
Honestly, trading in Diablo feed like sheeting. you’re basically skipping everything before the very late endgame. Also isn’t the point of playing to get those rare items? When I got my first mythic item I got very happy
unless you play 12 hours a day like wudi then trading is like the viable way of getting min maxed gear. so if i get a 3 GA drop for OP quill but im playing evade i can just trade it and buy gear for my build. getting 3ga+ gear for your build to drop yourself for every slot is too grindy.
@@otty4000 there isn’t enough content in the game to where u can’t get there solo in a few days to a week. Buying the gear just means ull run out of content to do and leads to ppl quitting and possibly calling it a bad game (just projecting here)
@@Slashresto its kinda true lol I usually just sell an item to get gold then I buy the gear I need but like u said after a week I get bored and quit. if I grinded for the gear myself id prob stay a whole season
@@211Mik3 my point exactly! I even feel like I’m cheating when I grp for Ubers, but I make it as a rule if I can’t solo them I don’t grp for them either.
It feel like an RMT endgame. Extremely low droprate ancestrals and runes are hard requirements for T4 endgame builds and those can be RMT'd. At paragon 200+ half my gear still isn't ancestral and I have 1 rune of the 6 I need.
I'm not sure if it is related but I have this same issue with all tributes dropping but I usually see them drop if I did the most recent realm Walker 🤔
4 people in a party and they all have the materials to summon the boss. They take turns summoning the boss, so that way you have many chances at getting the drop you want.
Arguably the best way to get opals for time efficiency would be trade for them, since it’s a low value activity and they arent bound, just let the casuals be rid of theirs and earn some gold :)
@@onceuponatimeonearth Okay but if people are doing RMT then theyre not playing the game, not to mention RMT isnt a game mechanic, its completely outside of blizzards control so theres no reason to even consider it when considering rarity of items
@@onceuponatimeonearthyeah the runes being part of the cost of an item makes it such a massive pain in the ass imo the rune cost should be half or maybe 1 spark since the gold is so over inflated it’s a pain to buy them
There's also the gold/mythic tribute that drop a guaranteed mythic as long as you complete the undercity run. It is quite rare though, I've only found 1 so far and ran another with a friend.
wait, Obducites are not supposed to drop in Infernal Horde Chest? I thought its a nice change. how does a normal player get to know of this? most of my clan is just picking a build and that its all content they watch about the game.
@@loganspurlin This would be so dope, maybe something similar to this scroll of reparing, which allows people to repair their gear? An item which lets you place a forge in the open world for some minutes which allows everyone to salvage their stuff.
@davidroa6270 lol I should of done that a while ago. I just kept hearing that undercity isn't worth it without tributes, so I was waiting to get one before I do it
Is the horde exploit not giving hellborn? Because im mostly seeing boss + soul spire meaning i get like 600 aether a run. Its infuriating... lol my 1st run was 5 hellborn spawn plus the faster events and lizard brain was happy. All downhill after that.
great if your maxed out..but for us casual players who can only lucky to put in 2-3 hours day, is unrealistic and unattainable. I dont have 15-18 day to play and I find season 6 much harder to get anything to drop
Infernal Hordes can be cheesed to get more Obducite. Turn off your pet(required) and run the horde while trying not to pick up any more souls than necessary. At the end, open crafting chest first, then go back into the room and pick up 1 soul and open crafting chest again. Each time you open it, you get a minimum of 320 obducite, so if there's 200 souls on the ground and you do them 1 at a time, you get 64k obducite from a single horde.
I did this method for about 30 minutes then felt like deleting the game. It's super efficient compared to any other obducite farm method but damn does it wear on your sanity.
Don’t do this. I don’t support in using exploits/bugs like this. Just because you can risk a ban. You do you but I’m not risking my account for some stupid bug
