Never played the games but the first scene is mesmerizing! I love the beauty of her animation. She looks perfect and majestic. Her cape stretches to the blood of the three warriors. It’s haunting but she makes it beautiful.

I really did not want to kill her. Lilith has always been an amazing figure of autonomy and liberation in folklore and they did such an amazing job depicting her as a multi-faceted individual here. I wish we had more choice as to what to do with her.

Inarius's entrance in the battle scene is majestic.

That priest deserves some respect he did not even waver in the face of the threat Lilith posed and tried to appeal to the peoples better nature.

What a devilish beauty she is, such a charming voice. One of the most beautiful characters I have ever seen. Everything is present in it, the devil and the angel in one person :)

I like this interpretation of Lilith. Cunning, wise beyone worldly comprehension, and guile as a seer. She is a force to be reckoned with and the scariest thing is she doesn't need much to decimate someone/thing. Her strongest suite is her mental manipulation which we witnessed have brought down Heaven, Hell, and even Earth.

Well we all have to give Lilith A lot of respect She is one of the best antagonist in the Diablo franchise but what makes her so different from her father and her two uncles Who are definitely conformed to be villains that wanted to destroy sanctuary and continued internal conflict Lilith wanted to save sanctuary from the prime evils as well as to end the internal conflict I wish she was able to save sanctuary she’s definitely no Hero that’s for sure she’s definitely more of an anti-villain which is awesome

Her death makes me sad... Through out the entire lore, she and Tyrael were the only 2 celestials who actually cared about humanity... Sure, her methods were unacceptable to say the least, but she were a demon... She's like a mother that would gently walk her son to a lake, and the repeatedly toss him in deep water to teach him to swim. Brutal to the point of madness, but it still would be sad to watch that kid stab his mother to death to escape her brutality. Rest in peace Lilith. At the very least, you taught us that zealously following the light is not the answer. Eternal conflict was born out of the separation between light and dark. Perhaps, by your hand, it can be ended through their unity in humans.

I've never played this game, but this is top-tier cinematics. The main villain-ess deserves a full series in some form. Very rare character.

She is wise and cunning. Powerful. It's weird, but she's also beautiful and magnificent in her own way. Interesting conception...

I've never played the Diablo games, BUT WOW WAS THAT FIRST SCENE INCREDIBLE! The graphics were insane, at first I was unsure if I had stumbled about a movie instead of a game. Absolutely magnificent.

No one really dies in Sanctuary. They just respawn after contemplating what they will do next.

The opening scene is really cool like, like an actual sight to behold. Her coming back through the gate, is just beyond badass.

I know Lilith has her own affection for Inarius for all of their creation together. Inarius sacrificed their creation together, their child, and wants the destruction of Sanctuary. All for what to return to heaven? He has no balls at all. Like dude you decided to rebel create a new world and with your creations you are threatened (their child the nephelem). Sigh, like no matter what you did and all the sacrifices you do just to return home to heaven is so foolish. As Lilith said, you truly belong in hell with your actions.

I sent a friend a cutscene, and she made an animation with Lilith’s voice and is now obsessed with Lilith.

You know what, I kinda like the way Lilith met her end. Yeah, the antagonist turning to stone is common but her pose was the interesting part. It’s as if it was the true face of Lilith, a little girl on her knees asking for one thing after another. An escape from an inescapable conflict, true love that was but a lie, a son who’d be stolen from her, a throne that couldn’t ever be her’s…… a wish that could never come true. And so ends the tale of the little girl destined to seek and destined to lose.

Never played the game, or even knew what it was about. But I’m glad this came up in my feed, this is really cool stuff - especially for someone who knows nothing about the game.

Came after Genevieve O'Reilly's rendition of Lilith as Moira Overwatch. Lilith is gorgeous! For those who don't know, Genevieve is an elite actress, mostly known for her role and consistent reprising of Mon Mothma in Star Wars. She plays Moira in Overwatch and a crossover was made in which Moira is Lilith. She has a few voice lines that came from Lilith and Genevieve did an amazing job at reimagining said voice lines

She really went down like the queen she was. The animation, the voice, the sound effects, her exit, the rose petals, the ashes… perfection 🥀

The opening scene will always be the most beautiful and twisted thing Blizzard has ever animated. I remember watching it the first time years ago and just dying to play the game.

People had high expectarions for Lilith and they *nailed it* in my opinion. She, Mephisto and Lorath were the best parts of the game.

Lilith killing Inarius for the murder of their son....and Inarius is trying to justify the murder of his son. Tells you a lot about the heavens and what they thing "good and evil" is... Inarius is bat shit crazy...

why did they have to waste their resources on World of Warcraft they should've made a Diablo movie

Lilith's character is amazing and charming. We all know she represents the dark side and she's like the gate to hell but... nowadays everything seems to be like hell.

Just absolute insane art and execution.

I give Inarius credit for having the strength to kill the woman he loves, you can hear him crying after he stabs Lilith. But killing his own child and creation in hopes of getting back into heaven? Nope. As for the game, It's stupid that we're forced to fight on the side of the person who wants to kill us instead of the person who is trying to uplift us. I will never play this game, all the "good guys" are stupid. "Yeah! Let's fight for the guy who wants to kill us." Great story, great acting, great cinematics. Terrible that we can't choose a side.

I love everything about Lilith. Strong and independent. Doesn't trust no one. Doesn't side on no one. A slave to no one. Has her own goal and will do anything to achieve it. She is her whole own person.

The battle scene is hell with the long spears is the same tactic Alexander the great used to win many of his battles.

Y'all be careful with Lilith. I know she seems right for decimating all angels and demons who wanted to kill all Nephalem, and also killing Inarius for killing their son... But she stills instigates the worst in humans. She still wanted to only take on the strong, and said fuck all for the weak because she's no savior. Only redeemable thing in all this is she stands by her choices - and accept the consequences. Even till the very end. I still give her the sie-eye there for basically saying 'well remember since you squander your free will, you won't survive without me.' Okay... but many will die because you don't give a fuck about them too sis. No one truly knows why she wants to defeat Hell that badly. It sure ain't because she loves all her children. The voice actress is phenomenal, and the graphic designers are simply geniuses. ❤.

The thing about big budget failures is that there is always this one voice actor who absolutely gives it their all.

i hope those visions she gave us at 34:50 will become true, i guess those are Mephisto, Baal and Diablo? damn, that would be huge if DLC of size of half the current game will come, and there will be Prime Evils.

Insofar that a "good" guy exists in D4, it's obviously Lilith. I hope someone makes a movie about Lilith (beyond just the Diablo cutscenes); she's by far the coolest character of this franchise so far.😈

I have a big feeling Diablo V will have it's antagonist(s) be apathy or nothingness itself. If Lilith was humanity's mother giving them all the powerful/passionate emotions of such strong desires and Inarius gave his children the demure emotions of passive ideations, well they're both like actually dead. More so, they even died at the moment they had absorbed all the hell lords and angel lords into them. What emotions do humans get left? There must be simply none left. We saw not just Lilith/petals herself, but even the ground grayed and died. I think nothingness approaches them now. There enemy is existence's finality.

the second cut scene was very sad for me....because that dead person was her son....and no mother should loose her child

The scariest thing about the design for Lilith is that she resembles actual ancient hieroglyphs in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. 😖 There was this one hieroglyph in ancient Egypt where a certain blue hair human figure was giving an offering to a horned figure named Banebdjedet. Plus with their worship of the apis bull it makes ya wonder a lot what exactly happened during certain eras within history.

Lillith is actually an angel but she comes down from heaven to stoop to those in hell through similar experiences that bring specific trauma.....to the human psyche but instead of her being guilty and deatructive she was innocent and willing. Anyways she grabs their hands and escorts them on outta there❤

I've watched this scene many many times. I still feel a loss when they close the door on the Priest's friend. It still hurts. Excellent production.

Plot twist: Neyrelle meet up with the others as discussed. They then went straight to the hellforge and destroy Mephisto's soulstone. The end..😺

She's the first "villain" where within half of the first cut scene, I was like "well yup, I'm on board"

I really like Lilith. Everyone had a choice, she never forced anyone to her will. Clearly a very complex character with a conflicting duality in her nature. Not just some purely evil antagonist similar to those like her father. She seemed graceful, soft, tender. Especially with her son, her motherly essence shown true; but was also shared with humanity. Otherwise powerful, purposeful and merciless to achieve her goals. Strong both lovingly and vengefully, and obviously simply in power as well. I love her. All hail the daughter of hatred, the creator and mother of sanctuary.

The clip starting at @24:55 feels like they aren't talking to each other at all. They are just making their own voice clips.

What I liked about this scene is normaly when this troupe is done they have to cut themselves in the palm in some dramatic scene but they don't even have to cut themselves cuz they are all already fucked up and bleeding from battle😂

I don't know why blizzard had to turn her into a Villain, she should be a an anti heroine.

Lillith is right she gave humanity free will but they chose to serve a higher power who tells them what to believe, what to think and what to do. And humanity but it's head in a crucade that it can't possibly understand. A war between heaven and hell that has been going since before humanity and which it's scale it's impossible for humans to understand. I would side with her if given the choice. After all how do we know heaven is righterous? because He says so? how do we know He is not lying?

I can see why folks said the story is lacking. If you watch D2 story then this. The drop off in quality is huge. Truly saddening.

I just feel so bad for her when she see her child dead, she may be evil in some ways, but by the lore and all we could see that she truly loved her creations and children, and be would absolutely do anything for them, even if it was brutal

Well I wouldn't say innocent some stay neutral, others follow to have their own wishes come true, while some will whether with good or ill intentions watch each side lowering their own numbers based on their loyalty and too much loyalty blinded by faith upon the leader they follow. Heavenly light and Hellish darkness are within all beings because both the Angiris Council and the Prime Evils feared the Nephalem to be so dangerous because they have the potential to surpass both races, so they exterminating them all. They all feared the unknown and you either destroy that fear with malice or you choose to accept it
