Lilith, The daughter of Lord of Hatred, returns to Sanctuary in the reveal trailer for Diablo 4. Diablo IV is the newest cinematic from Blizzcon 2019. #ign
It's a star gate! Where satanic creatures come to our world, they're coming my friend, soon but this time in the real world not just in the virtual mode you're watching:))
And best part is those who don't know that they are actually Daimons incarnate as humans, Angels, or Spirits are agnostic to their core of what they are. Some of these types of people, may never truly know their Name, nor their Sigil and may go on wandering the Earth in search of something beyond the Profane. "It's a gateway." Absolutely and when they open, (which they have but not all of them) Our vessels will be set free. The humans on this planet however want to keep your vessel hunkered down via virtual reality and via "transhumanism" but that is not entirely the case. Tech vs Arcane. 😂.
the ending scenes, Lilith slowly arriving, the rose pedals or the drops of blood that's falling like Rain, the way Lilith starts materializing and how the whole room starts lighting up when she's on the ground and how the summoner is kneeling while holding her hand, the scenery is just very Artistic, the Music is amazing as well.
@@brycemcmillian1519 the first two yrs the priest was already bleeding and opened his part unintentionally which is why the summoner had to manipulate him to willingly abandon his life
Yes. He knew exactly how to get what he wanted from each person. He even had the patience to stand there and emanate soothing authority. Masterfully done.
I feel like i legitimately just witnessed a Demon being born into the mortal realm. Even though i am not religious at all, if i imagined it were to happen this is now the image that will haunt me.
Seconding *artists, plural. There are no credits yet that I can find, but it's a safe bet that a team made that happen, not just one person. Very important distinction, imo.
The people who do things like this are not normal people. Some of them receive visions from the devil and demons..... (I don't know how well I could explain to people who don't understand) Hell is where is no light.....
You can thank the 'gamer' reaction to the phone game for that, Blizzard wasn't planning to show D4 yet but people went into 'REEEEEEEEE' mode over Immortal. And so Blizz put this out to show people that yes, they are still making games for their core audience.
This is a perfect example of how you do a cinematic trailer. Easily one of the best cinematic trailers for a video game I've ever seen. Let's also appreciate the sound engineers for this trailer
5:14 Art in fractions of a second, you can see his will broken by what he's seeing; all at once, confusion and terror tearing asunder the veneer of toughness. Went from deadly treasure hunter to a shell of a man, in an instant. I've watched this thing 100 times and never get tired of it, just a masterpiece.
@@hakkenarsk I don't know. I'm mostly just trying not to exaggerate. It probably is THE most visually impressive cinematic trailer I've ever seen. Yet, just in case I was forgetting one, I tried to be modest in my compliment. But yeah, I can't of anything that beats it.
@arif mohammed it's a nice trailer, but Blizzard did stuff like that qualitywise ten years ago. It's hard to explain, but Blizz just makes them cinemetaics so far ahead of any other game developer and been doing it for more than 20 years. Just judging the cinematics here, not the games. :)
Apart from the obviously stunning visuals, I'd just like to take a moment to appreciate the voice acting and sound design. The summoners voice is fking perfection. Even the dubs of this trailer in other languages don't come close to the original voice acting and mixing. Yet again, the Blizzard cinematic department created another masterpiece.
VA’s name for the summoner is Anthony Howell and his voice is absolutely gorgeous 🤍 he also voiced Jonathan Reid from Vampyr game if you want to find some more of his works :)
What? This isn't fully made with computer animation, can't you see they're real actors? Pretty sure the raider who dies first is Jerome Flynn. Blizzard and other companies have been doing this for ages
@@Durwood71 It's not as a reference, they're real actors wearing a CGI suit, it's not hard to get past the uncanny valley with that technology nor is it new, it's been used for decades now in movies and videogames. The hulk has always been Mark Ruffalo wearing a CGI suit, same as Jerome Flynn here. Using it for in-game visuals requires way more resources on both ends, so it's a lot rarer and that's when people bring that concept up.
@@AsdAsd-ph2hn What you're describing is called a motion capture suit that captures performance data that the animators use as a reference for the final CGI render. What you're seeing in this trailer is a 100% computer generated image.
I think he said : there is no lies here, you came to darkness for knowledge - its mean the guys not come there for gold, diamond. He finding only knowledge
The reason why there is so much gold and treasure on the ground in the dungeons in the cathedral is Diablo have knowledge that people like wealth and is using this method to lure people into demons as a trap so they can ambush adventurers in crowds to their deaths
Lilith: Finally the land of the living, I'm gonna take everything * Full geared infinite level paragon nephelim bursts through the doors * Lilith: Back to hell it is
@@onyxhunt5525 i think the mc (nephalem) is a descendant from her. so i think it is more like the mc is going to kill her great great great ancestor (mother) so yeah yikes indeed. and ooh boy i cannot wait
@@darencolby1916 to be fair, it was already completely valid because everyone and their 10 year old children have phones these days, people just didn't like hearing about the mobile game before 4 was ready to be announced.
The way Lilith looks after she emerges from that bloody gate is a wonderful appearance for Lilith, with that long cape made from blood, She looks incredibly! Hail the daughter of Hatred! Hail the creator of Sanctuary! Hail Lilith!
That was just incredible! Beautiful & terrifying. Blizzard absolutely MUST move into the animated series business...this much talent in their art department needs further unleashing! Fantastic! Voice acting too was sublime
Why is Lilith so much more fearful than all of the Lords of Evils combined? Just look at her face in the reveaL, even Diablo himself would likely hide from such insanity.
8:27 when the music turns to a drone, a stomping cacophany of chaos... and the choir slows descends in like hell's angels sensing the devil's come home. spine tingling
You gotta appreciate the symbolism here. Lilith, the creator of Sanctuary, and mother to all of its inhabitants. What we see is a grotesque inversion of that mother image, where the mother is born of the flesh of the sons. Eerie stuff!
Demons require sacrifices and take from others. Angels inspire and give endlessly to others. They are simply sides of the same coin of Divinity. One forces the world to learn through pain and suffering. The other reminds others of the innate beauty hidden deep within our divinity. Two ways to accomplish the same purpose - the Enlightenment of All.
Agreed. it's like a breath of fresh air. On the other hand, CGI trailers are fun, but can be extremely misleading. Here's to hoping Diablo 4 is more similar to Diablo 1 or 2.
They probably ended up firing them in the 800+ employee layoff in blizzards most profitable year ever. Blizzard is a foul carcass of what used to be a great company.
@JBrute54 Just watched all of the blizcon trailers and videos. Have to admit the range of the palette that company has is astounding. From G-rated overwatch to straight up horror of D4. For whatever opinion people have of them, they are still a titan of the video game industry
Look at how many close-up shots there are, on eyes, mouths, faces. Eyes are ridiculously hard to do well, even with face capture and all, eye movement is extremely subtle, and our brains are trained to read tons of information from there, so we are naturally very perceptive of eyes done wrong. Blizzard did an amazing job at doing all these close-ups well and properly, apart from all the action and great cinematography overall, they also did a fantastic job animating the faces. Their cinematics are top notch spectacles, unmatched by any other studio out there. If only the games could match their genius cinematics.
Ok can we talk about how stranger things Vecna's way of killing is reminiscent of the first kill in the trailer? Are the creators of Stranger things Diablo fans? 👀
