Best tire review I've ever checked out -- uniquely, great visuals, personal insights and experience, and technical stuff like "thermal profile" (most reviewers read the press release and not much more)--thanks! keep it up. Subscribing. I ran rosso 3's on my Tuono and they blew my mind, they were so good, particularly in turns. Then I replaced the front with a rosso IV and it was 10 times better than the 3! which blew my mind again--these tires are just BEGGING for extreme lean angles, urging you to push it, effortless response. Remarkable. Putting a IV on the back next week.

Excellent review! I have been searching for a good balance for wet and dry grip tire,. Most reviews do not give real world feedback. Your review here helped me make up my mind on this tire. Living in Florida wet grip is a necessity. I am not going to pay what tires like the road 6 demand and lose performance in the dry. Again excellent and thank you.

I've ridden Dunlop's for a long time, street and dirt. I replaced them with a set of Diablo Rosso IV's about a month ago and your review absolutely echoes most of our sentiments. My bike feels better with the Pirelli tires. Great review.

I loved the S22s that came on my MT10 but they only lasted 600 rear and 1500 front. Then I mounted these same rosso 4s the rear was great while I fiished off the s22 front but when I finally put new rosso front on? Vague handling not flickable like the S22 front had been....but i read pirelli says much lower PSI that the Bstone AND they are taller profile so when it finally dries out here I will test with forks raised 5mm and PSI dropped way down (like from manuals 42/36 to maybe 38 rear? and 30 front? or less? Maybe that is all it is idk but so far? no good

I recommend the Pirelli SC3 as well. This is a hard compound tire, and they do NOT require tire warmers. They are specifically built for cooler weather.

Thanks for the high quality review. I'm switching from the Supercorsa SP to the Rosso 4s, and immediately started regretting the choice after placing the order yesterday. But this video puts my mind at ease a bit when you're saying you can still ride on these at full lean and acceleration. I need a lot of grip for aggressive canyons and twisties, and even slipped for a milisecond here or there on the Supercorsas at full lean, so I have been really concerned about sacrificing grip. But the drive to the mountains on soft tires has been burning a hole in my wallet, as all of my Supercorsas have only gotten around 2200-2500 miles. Excited to try these out. I was about to switch my order, but I think I'll give these a try after all.

Time for a trailer? lol It seems so odd though to trailer a street legal bike...But I used to do it with my KTM 690 enduro cause the freeways not only destroyed the DOT knobbies but also were quite squirrelly (scarey!) on the freeway rain grooves! Not a trailer but a bumper rack actually...I dont laugh anymore at folks trailering their bikes to the place they want to ride it...I get it totally now

BEST REVIEW of Regular Rosso 4 so far! what about the carcass? I HATED rosso 3 hard carcass, its HARD and get too "jumpy" in bad roads. I like more the rosso 2 and the Rosso corsa 2 or the Supercorsa sc3 feeling which has a SOFT carcass that cope bad roads, giving more surface area, more stability, more CONFORT since it provide WAY LESS UNECESSARY FEEDBACK than rosso 3 and off course, GIVE BETTER GRIP.

I’m satisfied with S22s (used 3 sets of them) Good profile, Good grip in dry & wet, fast to heat up. But if you don’t ride a lot of twisties (or go high speed on straight highways often), I would suggest getting something slightly harder in the centre. I’ve used bridgestone for years, but now I’m trying michelin power 5 (even softer than the S22)

@saifaldin_

@@yodomcat I’d say S22 was much improved compared to S21. Wet grip on S21 will go down faster compared to S22 (the last 20% felt especially weak) But you won’t know until you’ve tried them yourself (different riding style and conditions) Maybe you’ll come to hate the S22 as well 🤣 Personally, I love the handling.. not too steep, not too flat. Roundish, with a slight tinge of eagerness..

Fyi - the 180/60 (standard fitment on the Streetfighter V2) is a dual compound tyre as well. As a comparison, I had Michelin Road 5s on my Street Triple & they were by far the best tyre I've ridden on in the wet, as well as being very grippy & confidence inspiring in the dry. I find the Rosso IVs on the Streetfighter don't give the same level of feedback & the tip in is very non-linear. You get to a point where you're getting close(ish) to the edge of the tyre & then it tends to just fall into the turn - whereas the Road 5 tip in was linear all the way to the edge. The "fall in" on the Rosso IV could be a product of the 60 profile, but I don't know because I haven't tried a 50 or 55 Rosso IV for comparison.
@saifaldin_
@saifaldin_ 7 месяцев назад
That’s Pirelli for you.. 😅 that aggressive V shape does require a different approach ride. Fast turn in, and hold… not so comfortable for slower manoeuvres (although i do like it for my Daytona) Michelins tend to be very round - harder to tip in, but very linear. Bridgestone, I feel is somewhere in between those two.

My 23 MT10 came with BStone S22 which I truly loved but the rear was gone at 600miles to the wear bars including break in! (all twisties) I wrongly squeezed 300 more miles out of the rear trying to do 1000miles which was hopelss and there is like NOTHING left of the tire now off the bike (yes I kept the thing as a conversation piece lol) it is just a floppy thin carcase with virtually no meat left! Amazed ut supported tge bike ar speed! I can not believe I risked those final miles it was that stupid! Anyways I finally replaced just the rear with a new pirelli diablo rosso 4 and it worked great with the OEM S22 fron at factory recommended 42/36 even! ! no problem so at 1500miles when the s22 front was finally ALSO toast (looks like a KNIFE blade or wedge now bald on the sides but could likely go thousands more miles on a straight highway.without many turns...wierd huh? Again this was ALL twisties wear) Okay so at 1500 miles on this new bike I now also replaced the front with the same rosso 4 pirelli diablo tire. Immediately The bike feels weird to me and not flingable confidence inspriting like the S22 front WAS ...Thi front tire is significantly taller profile (rear tii irugubakk Im sure) so I tried raising the forks in the tree 5mm (middle line) (dropping front 5mm) and that did seem to help some/ a little....then it rained and rained and rained so I have not been back out. BUT I found a pirelli chart that says these tires ought to be run at WAY lower psi than Yamaha had me running the S22s which was 36 front and 42 rear...Pirelli says the front s/b like mid 20s PSI cant recall now! 25 psi? idk So maybe it is simple as too high pressure? When it dries out some more I will try em several psi lower than "normal" Maybe Ill start wirh 36 rear and 28 front and just see if that helps? Anyone have similar experience? My friend with a z900 HATED the Rosso 4 tires had but I dont know WHICH Rossos he meant...he replaced em "before they were half worn out" said hw xouls not trust em? But are all the variants of Rossos even similar to each other at all?

What tire pressure are you using?

I typically run 34.5 in front and 30 rear when I'm planning on doing more aggressive in the twisties. If I'm traveling somewhere more on the highway I'll bump the rear to 36psi. These are cold temps fyi. ~Red

i believe the supercorsa will be more for performance while the rosso 4 will be for longevity.

Supercorsa SP for the track and Rosso 4 for the street.

@@DarR1299 Otherwise, I drive Supercorsa v2 sp on the street, but after about 4000 km they are ready to be replaced. I wonder if this tire will last longer on the road and give at least the same performance as Supercorsa?

@@davidskrlin6310 I've had two pairs of Supercorsa's SP: One pair on a Pani 959 and the other on the Monster 1200R. They sure did not last long on the Monster. The 959 originally came OEM with Corsa 2's which have been superseded with Rosso IV Corsa. I suspect the Rosso iV would be similar to the older Corsa 2's which at the time were the middle ground between the Rosso III's and the SC SP's.. I'm looking forward to finding out.

Why are you comparing these ones with any DR corsa? Corsa is a lvl up then comes the super corsa. These are just DRs.

If you had a track bike you would ride very differently on the roads.
