The Bosch heavy duty metal blades are the best. I spent 40 bucks on a diamond cutting blade, got through 1 cut before it completely lost all its teeth, went and bought the 5 pack of the Bosch for like 25 bucks. Finished breaking down a trailer frame with just one of those blades, I still have them to this day and use them all the time. I still use the one that I used on the trailer

Diablo is definitely my go-to blades for pretty much anything whether it be abrasive cutting wheels for my grinder or saw blades for my circular saw personally I would have wanted to use a longer blade for this test but pretty much the only thing I can fault you on is not using some cutting fluid just spraying that fucker with WD-40 while you're doing that would help a lot

These blades work very well. Diablo have released an AMPED range of metal cutting blades which are even better. Blades will last a lot longer if you use cutting oil and don't run the recip saw at full speed. A variable speed corded recip saw is the way to go. And yes, it is a H Beam rather than an I Beam. But that makes the demo even better because H Beams are usually stronger and harder to cut through.

just got these at work, first blade cut through 2" brass shafts around 30 times, a few brass brackets, few hundred screws, and a 1 1/2 inch stainless shaft where it snapped in half, the second one did half a stainless shaft and still worked just as good, started cutting thin walled copper pipe 2 and 3 inch, cut like butter a few times then just stopped cutting, all the teeth were chipped. seems hit and miss but the stainless wasnt smart

@ghostoftheUchiha3250 Год назад
@@swiftmatic I'm actually a blacksmith and yeah the thickness does make a huge difference. when you're cutting into something incredibly thick like that you build up a lot of heat. that usually softens the blade and makes it lot easier to damage. but... hardness is definitely another determining Factor
