As always this is an excellent video! It answers not only the basics but gives nuances as well. I was deep into pre-diabetes before I started watching your videos. I am now on the high end of normal. I listen to every video you do! The best advice I got from your videos was the Nightly fasting I do every day for 16-18 hours and walking after every meal. Thank you so much for your contribution and the time it takes to make these videos!

This was a very interesting explanation of how to diagnose diabetes. One thing I would like to know: when you say "take a sugary drink and two hours later..." What volume of drink and what content of sugar are we talking about?? Like, will it be 200 cl of water with X number of grams of sugar ?? Thank you very much, Doctor!

Doc, how about the different result between capillary and venous test?, I mean considering the variance between convenience strip based glocotest and lab's test... Does classic symptoms appear in long period of time or just having previously 'ever' feeling those symptom could possibly diabetics? Thanks

I just got diagnosed with diabetes. Went for regular check up and my a1c was 12.1and my sugar was 398. The doctor put me on glipizide 5mg but everytime I check my sugar it still be high. The medicine is I like because I don't run to the bathroom every 15 mins. And I'm not as thirsty no more. But my sugar stays high.

Sir I just had a blood test done 3 months ago. The blood work came out normal. Should I take it again or is this too recent? From what period of time should I check? Every 3 months or so? I have wounds in my hands that are still not fully healed and it’s been a month. Also I get tired out of nowhere and feel I need to sleep. It happens out of nowhere even when I slept.
