My mechanic told me I had a serious engine blow by problem. I came up with a way to find out. My test proved that my engine does not have a blow by problem.
Blow by should have white smokes coming out of the filler cap too. Because the gas and oil got mixed together and burned. Then blew back into the crankcase.
The reason for this is that there is created a pressure when the pistons go down, and there is s negative pressure when the pistons go up. Even though for example in a 4 cylinder, the same amount of air is being pushed and pulled at the same time, however it is easier for the air to push itself in and out when the cap is off, and the reason you do not feel the sucking in, is because the air coming out goes in a straight line out, but the air sucked in comes from all directions, distributing the "vacuum" across a larger section
My bikes blowing like hell, I'm afraid that piston rings worn out, though, performance is good. I'll try covering hole with my finger. If it doesn't push my finger out then I think it's just vacuum effect. Or maybe i could use piece of plastic bag. I hope it's healthy. Bike is a 250 cc scooter engine with 92k kms on it.
The problem is you bought a kia/hyundai and clearly have issues with blow by that much cylinder pressure should not be exiting the crank case, i have a feeling this engine has been swapped out or the car is sitting in a junkyard
I threw Lucas oil stabilizer in mine keeping it going as long as I can mechanic told me these things are oil burners and have terrible blow by as they get older but will still run for a long time
Sounds like you need your valves adjusted. The valves are noisy, like a diesel. If you have hydraulic lifters, you have one or several stuck because of sludge build up. If that is the case (Hydraulic Lifters) you could try Marvel Oil 1/2- 1 liter to the crank case oil for 800km/500miles before next oil change & filter. Try changing your oil more frequently.
Do a leak down test and then seee if u hear air coming out the oil cap or dipstick , you proboly ran low on oil with rodknock and rings and walls wore out and now blowby is escaping….
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure and it's coming out of there is from the oil pump pushing up to the head because if you pull the dipstick out and there's zero Blow by in the bottom half of the motor it doesn't really make much sense
@@trapps75excess oil comes from a fuel leak into the crankcase which can happen multiple ways on a diesel but doesn't usually happen on gasoline unless it's an old carbureted engine
