These engines are famous for the injector harness inside the engine gets brittle .and the insulation comes off then all the wires touch each other the same for mack mp8 and mp7 dealt with alot it even burned some of the ecus

I see that with official version of PTT you dont have to select all the specs of your truck since it does it automatically. Hey i have a 2012 vnl. Its not doing anything when i try to crank it. Its giving me this message along with check engine light. J1939 communication error with engine ECU. Any idea what could it be?
What type of computer program you recommend to check the volvo. Mechanics can't find the the problem on my d13. The accelerating pedal will randomly stop work and downshift to 9 gear. I want to start to check it my self.
Hello, I have a question concerning the D13. At the front/top of the motor their is a hose that runs to the driver side, down low. Can you tell me what it is and what is running through that hose? I think it may be leaking, the hose has some abrasions, also, it feels like it might be braided too, I guess kinda like hydraulic lines, but not sure. It is the only hose that runs from the top front of the motor down to the driver side, down low.
So would a bad engine harness cause the a lost in communication to the ECU where the truck will crank but not start and throw bogus fault codes? I have 07 Volvo VED12d and I think the harness may be my issue as well.
Hey bullet iam having a problem with my volvo j1939 data link erratic code engine- mid 128 sid 231 fmi 2, transmission- mid 130 sid 231 fmi 2, vehicle- mid 144 sid 231 fmi 2 all come back as j1939
I just use tech tool, the Volvo program. There is a lot of smaller little devices that can help read codes and sometimes clear them but I don't have much knowledge about those.
Where u out of because I’m having issues with my Volvo now I have replace the head and it’s reading 5injector but replace it with a new one and it’s still saying the same thing
Bad seal cause wiring harness gone bad and will cause injectors missed fire. I replaced my Volvo D13 2018 on 03/27/23 ; Small shop need 5k for parts only (wiring with 2 injectors)Volvo Dealer need 8k for part and labor
Did you have to replace the ecm or did you clean the ecm connector pins if so which you used to clean it i found alil oil nothing major just trying to see if my ecm still good to use once i replace the engine wire harness
