@@DanWithTheWrench Heck yeah bro! I was able to get a fresh coat of Milano red on my 99 coupe a few months back and it looks sooo much better now. Like it just rolled off the showroom floor! 😁🤙

It's crazy how much a fresh coat of paint can do for a car 😁 and damn Milano Red 👌🏼

The IAC on the car when I got it looked brand new/super clean so I just assumed it was new and working.. but you know what they say about assuming.. I might try to get one from the junkyard or take mine off to at least inspect it!

@@DanWithTheWrench My civic started doing that like a month ago after doing a short pull onto the freeway.. I thought I hurt the engine but after inspecting it ended up being a broken wire to the Idle Air Control so I took the plug apart and fixed it with some solder lol Mine was running like crap when it did it.. not just idling up and down like a vac leak. I am sure you will figure it out!

Damn I didn't even think about that.. the wiring is so hacked up in the ol Prelude I wouldn't doubt that could be it!

@@DanWithTheWrench I have seen people plug in the Idle air control valve plug into the Intake air temp sensor and have a surging idle. They use the same type of plug on my 99 civic but I am not sure if its like that on your Prelude. I'd check that and see if you swapped them on accident maybe. Make sure you installed the correct IACV too. Some are 3 wire and some are 2. If the ecu is looking for a 3 wire IACV and you installed a 2 wire one it can cause this issue as well. Good luck!
