@@Privatericky1123 Thanks for the video, brother. I made the mistake of getting the auto zone recommended part. Big mistake as it will not fit my 2001 Lexus ES 300 without serous modification. Anyone who needs to do one of these replacements, make sure you get the Oem part otherwise you’ll double your work load
@@Privatericky1123 sorry to ask. did you get your brakes locking up at times when trying to brake hard with the bad booster? Ive had my booster and abs module go out at the same time before. replaced both. now i think the booster is bad again bc of the symptoms of having to brake harder, and the low idle/loss of vacuum, and the hissing under where the pedal is. The thing is, theres times where it works like half strength. randomly , ill loose function or majority of it and when that happens, my abs can be heard and my brakes lock until i immediately let go of he brake and reapply immediately . have you ever had that symptom with a bad brake booster?
@@rickyaguilar7572 I had none of those symptoms on my car. Sounds like you have a very different problem try checking your brake lines and fluid or maybe vacuum lines. The brake booster goes bad because it won’t seal properly so no enough air is in the system to help you stop the car. With out it it almost feels like you have no brakes you really have to floor the pedal to make it stop and even then it very minimal. My brake booster just went all of a sudden I went to brake and I had no brake was very scary. I had to pull on the E brake! I was on the freeway which was worse ! I drive the car home like that. I took the streets and stayed very far from cars till I got to light or a stop sign
@@Privatericky1123 im having the same problems . i have to press harder on the brakes and stay far from people. the thing is it sounds like only half the air is seeping out, and other times it sounds like all the air is seeping out. i will repolace my booster , if the ocking persist i have an abs problem again
