Thanks for sharing the video and your knowledge. I have a P2004 runner stuck open. Thanks for the wiring schematic so I can check it electrically and also showing the voltage readings at various positions. 😊

Funny this vid just came out on my RU-vid. I just got done replacing the Intake on my 2016 Jeep Patriot. It had a P2016 Code. Took it to the dealer and told them when cold the runner cycles open and close for about 5 minutes then stops and the engine light stays on. They said that Intake needs to be changed. They'd do it for around a Thousand Dollars. Said no way. I'll do it myself. Got a brand new intake from Mopar Parts Giant and replaced it myself. Still the same problem of cycling first 5 minutes, engine light, and P2016 code. I asked the dealer when they had it in the shop if they would check the computer for any updates or recalls. They said there was none and said PCM and wiring all good. So now I don't know what to do... Ahhhh!

Now I wish you made a video about how the solenoid itself works when you get a failure on that side of the runner. I have one that is pulsing 12 volts on ground and says the circuit is high but no resistance to the ECM

Hi very good channel with interesting explanation. I like it so much. I have problem with my car Ford focus 2005 symptoms are when the engine reaches the temperature of 90 degrees, the esp light comes on and the tachometer pointer works once and does not work. After reading the fault codes, it shows ABS U2023 and OBD2 P1132 When the engine is turned off and on again, the light goes out and the engine runs normally What I noticed that after removing the plug from the temperature sensor when engine is working and cold on the dashboard the esp light comes on have same symptoms as after engine get 90 degrees. I replaced temperature sensor for new original didn't work still same problem. Please advise what I should start and check to find out what is happening.

thank you very much for the video .I would like to diagnose the unit in my Jeep Compass 2012 that is same as for the Dodge Caliber you tested. I wonder if you can share the (5) pins mapping so that I will know how to check it . your assist would be appreciated .

I noticed you were analyzing the minimum and maximum voltages of the actuator with it uninstalled on the intake. Could it be that you were getting 5.0v because it wasn't installed? Because the position of the valve on the actuator is at a different position when installed opposed to when Uninstalled. So are you sure that was a proper test with it Uninstalled?

You are correct, the voltage readings are different when installed. I used the scanner to control the IMRC motor, but did not see a response from the sensor. Then I removed the IMRC motor and noticed that the voltage values did change while being off. I noticed that the flappers were stuck, that's what made me remove the manifold.

@@MRDIAGNOSTECH I thought so. Im currently working on one of these today. All the circuits and connections are fine the flappers are moving but codes are returning immediately after clear with just turning key on. Could it be the valve has lost its original voltage calibration making codes return? And also is true you have to reprogram or update computer when replacing with new unit? Thanks for responding and your input!

@@FILMINGLOL It's possible that it's out of range or the flappers are getting stuck inside the Manifold. I've found that aftermarket units are too sensitive and trigger the code, if replaced I recommend an OEM unit. It doesn't require relearning the new unit when replaced.
