Another update on my now 16 month long nightmare headache. Step 1 is repairing the CSF leaks, then CCI and Chiari. Still holding out hope that my brain is ACTUALLY full of air and floats back up once my CSF volume increases again, but yeah I know, I know, science and doctors and probabilities and “not gonna happen”. pffffftttttttttt
Also probably worth noting for any Chiari/EDS patients that may be watching: LP's are apparently not usually considered unless recommended and guided by your neurosurgeon and even then, risk assessment must be done. Open pressure testing was considered, but ultimately this was the path my neuro, NS and IR chose to diagnose the CSF leaks. Blah blah blah, medical disclaimer, blah blah blah, use your head, follow your doc's advice and get second opinions when it comes to serious shit. Everyone on the same page? Hokay. Cool.
