Target Audience
This activity is designed for primary care physicians and advanced practice providers.
Statement of Need
This will program provide the most current guidelines on diagnosing and treatment options for GERD and Barret's esophagus. There is not always a consistent diagnosis and treatment plan between the primary care providers and the GI specialist.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this offering, the participant will be able to:
1. Discuss the latest clinical guidelines in the diagnosis and management of GERD.
2. Review the indications for endoscopic evaluations.
3. List the complications of GERD.
4. Outline the screening guidelines/criteria for Barret's esophagus.
