As a Copt who also frequents the Armenian Church often and have been to Mar Gewargis Cathedral in Chicago, I must say I love all of our Churches. May we reunite soon. The Armenians already take communion with the Assyrians. There is an entire mission in Dallas, Texas, where an Assyrian Mission is located inside an Armenian Church, and having talked to the members there, they told me they do take communion together. It's such a beautiful thing, especially when we remember how much the Armenians and Assyrians suffered TOGETHER against the Kurds and the Ottomans during their Genocides. I pray my fellow Copts will learn from the Armenians and realize we are 1 Church in Jesus Christ, amen.

❤In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians. In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and ❤Assyria-a blessing in the midst of the land, whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.” Isaiah 19:23‭-‬25/ Bible ALL THESE THINGS WILL HAPPEN IN THIS WORLD, AT THE END THE LIVING ONE, OUR SOVEREIGN GOD WILL KEEP AND BLESS ONLY THESE THREE NATIONS ACCORDING TO HIS HOLY WORD AND TO HIS PROMISE. MAY THE LORD JESUS CHRIST BLESS YOU ALL AMEN. MAY THE LORD BLESS ALL CHRISTIANS AROUND THE WORLD AMEN. I COVER ALL THREE BLESSED NATIONS AND ALL CHRISTIANS WITH HOLY PRECIOUS BLOOD OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AMEN. I LOVE ALL, BUT JESUS LOVES MORE FOREVER AMEN. ❤❤❤

This video answered things that I really wanted to know about the Assyrian Church. I believe that it is feasible for the Assyrian, Oriental, and Eastern churches to be reunited within the next thirty years.

I have to say that this is definitely one of my favourite videos online. It's a video I keep coming back to over and over again. I don't think I've seen anything online that goes into this much detail about the differences between the christology of Oriental Orthodox Churches and the Church of the East. And it's a great resource in general for understanding the various issues involved with christology, the debate between Cyril and Nestorius, and the Council of Ephesus. Thanks for making this available.

Most interesting and enlightening dialogue with charity and respect on both sides. When I listened to you both, I was wondering how the church fathers of the fifth century could be so pigheaded and uncharitable towards one another!

9:56 “I don’t know if that means we are due for another one.” Unfortunately, you jinks it, considering the division between Constantinople and Moscow.

This issue isn’t about love. It’s about faith. It’s not an emotional issue. It’s a dogmatic issue. We should in fact love everyone, including non-believers. This is why the two communities, Coptic and Assyrian, sympathize with none another, especially in persecutions due to their faith. However, this doesn’t automatically mean we must accept central dogmatic issues that have been tested by time over centuries to be fundamental differences and proven to be the issues, not only by the Coptic Church, but other orthodox churches as well. The Assyrian bishop’s talk of two natures is extremely concerning and his refusal to fully acknowledge St. Mary as the mother of the incarnated Word, who is God Himself and, hence, the Theotokos Mother of God, is concerning. I wish the Coptic Orthodox priest was a bit more knowledgeable about the topic. He didn’t present the Orthodox position properly and didn’t bring up relevant historical facts that better explain the Orthodox position. There was important communication before the council of Ephesus between Nestor and Cyril. The letters are present till today to show that Cyril was trying to avoid another heresy of faith by allowing Nestor to better explain himself, but this communication did not demonstrate Nestor’s faith to be Orthodox. This isn’t only Cyril’s opinion, but was also the opinion of hundreds of bishops and observers who later attended the Council of Ephesus. Nestor adamantly insisted that St. Mary gave birth to human like all humans and that’s why he objected to the term Theotokos. If the Assyrian Church over time rejected this position of Nestor and now has a different position that is more Orthodox in nature, the Assyrian bishop should say so clearly and clearly and squarely reject the position of Nestor. Also, recall that Nestor himself was well learned in Greek being a graduate of a major theological school that uses Greek routinely. He was also the bishop of Constantinople, which means he must have been proficient in Greek, the common scholarly language used in the East at that time. So, the Assyrian bishop’s excuse about the use of Greek rather than Aramaic or other local languages in Assyria as a fundamental basis of the dispute is suboptimal to say the least. Nestorianism is a serious heresy that had ramifications beyond just the Christian faith that remain with us till today. It will be absolutely wonderful to reach christological agreement between the Coptic Orthodox Church and the Assyrian Catholic Church of the East. But, this should be reached by experienced, we’ll learned scholars from both sides based on sound theological and dogmatics foundations rather than emotional desire to agree regardless of the true faith of each of the churches.

1.The Assyrian clergyman claims that the barrier of language caused the misunderstanding. If they had problems in comprehending the theology of the rest of the Church as they didn't speak Greek, how come they accepted the teachings of Nestorios who spoke and wrote exclusively in Greek? 2. Nestorios accepts both the Human and Divine nature of Christ, but in A PARALLEL WAY, Christ was dressed with human nature in order to communicate with humanity, but the two natures existed and acted SEPARATELY. So God came on Earth to teach us some great spiritual values,suffered our brutality and then returned back where he came from ,letting the Human nature practically the way it was. This means that God never really undertook the Human nature which was never saved and sanctified. 3. The Council of Ephesus despite the many serious uncanonical acts that took place was finally accepted by ALL Churches ( Rome, Constantinople, Antioch, Alexandria and Jerusalem) The Church of the East rejected it UNDER THE PRESSURE OF PERSIANS, who wanted to create a barrier between Christians of Byzantine empire and it's interior.. 4. The doctrine the Assyrian clergy attempted to present about the most Holly Theotocos, is NOT what Nestorios taught, but what his friends Theodoritos of Ciros and John of Antioch tried to present as his teaching in order to defend him, but also what they tried UNSUCCESSFULLY to persuade Nestorios to accept.

A beautiful messages of Love, Peace and harmony. It was very dissapointing to hear the Assyrian bishop contradict what he had said by judging and making fun of Gay people and female priest.
@Birko98

I don't think he was making fun of anyone. He was simply saying that the traditional churches reject those ideas, and despite those rejections, the Coptic Church decides to have dialogue with those churches yet not with the Assyrian Church, that was the point.
