I can’t even tell you how thankful I am that I found your video. I’ve tried strippers, sanders, scrapers, and had started flipping the boards. The screws were completely rusted so I had to saw them in half before I could finally get the boards up. Took three hours to do 8 of them. Then I saw your video. $60 for the Diamabrush and one hour later I had totally scraped off 2/3 of that Deckover garbage. THANK YOU!!!!!! You saved my life and my deck! I’m sharing this with everyone I know!!!!

This product is extremely hard to get (only through amazon pretty much) and costs between $80-$120 in Canada... I think I'm still going to try my chances with chemical paint stripper first. Maybe I'll be lucky. On that note, wear a dust mask, eye protection and gloves when you're doing this kind of work, I'm usually not hard into PPE (I'm in construction engineering myself) but I've seen some nasty stuff before. Funny story, I used to work for a company doing bridge assessment and bridge load tests, on one job site (construction was done) my boss told me "wear a helmet FFS!" and I thought "what a BS, no construction activity here". I took it off for a few seconds and then the wind gust blew one of the ladders straight onto my head... That told me that unexpected usually happens at the worst possible moment lol. Another story when I was called to run a finished construction structural inspection, I was told no PPE required because it's finished and no construction activities, then I stepped on a nail lol.

I have a 7 amp 5 in DeWalt Grindr that I use with a Diamabrush for deck restoration. It will get hot after 20 to 30 minutes of non-stop grinding on a deck. You do not put any downward pressure with this tool you let it float and do the work for you. You just need to maintain control of it with the side handle and a good grip on the grinder itself. You get off level or tip an edge, you will easily dig into the wood and risk damage and injury.
