Matt, I was so pleased to see that you did another one of these series of inkvent calendars. I know that at one point you had talked about whether or not it would be worth the time. As always you review is very considerate, gives a different smattering of papers than most, and has much better production quality than most of what else is out there. Thank you for your time and attention and all that you do!
Hey Brad! Thank you... these things are a lot of work, and as always, who knows whether I'll make it all the way through the month... but I'm enjoying it so far 🙂Hope you like them... they should get better after I get into the swing of things in the next week or so.
Beautifully begun! You're approach to the Inkvent series is how I found your channel and, IMO, is the most festive and lovely approach on RU-vid. ❤ Thank you for investing the time in such craftsmanship.
I came to your channel with last year's inkvent calendar and have enjoyed your channel since. I have been looking forward to your joyful and wonderful presentation this year. After your presentation I will open mine to see and have fun with the ink of the day.
Hey Bruce! I'm glad that you've enjoyed my Inkvent videos and that you're sticking with my channel :-) Hope you have as much fun with your own Inkvent this year 🙂
Yay! This is my favorite time of year to tune into your channel. Thank you for your Inkvent reveals. I keep looking for a Pelikan Golden Beryl dupe and this ink has possibilities.
Thank you for being back doing another year of inkvent, have been longing for your beautiful films! Not my favourite ink though but there are more to come 😅
Agreed. I don't think it's very visible in my video, but the glitter does have some green in some light (I guess that's the "chameleon" bit), and that really does make it lean charteuse, too.
I've opened and used Day 1-4 & my opinion of Fortune's Gold really improved as I wrote with it. I was pretty neutral (trending negative) at first blush, but the green-gold glitter is unique and gives the ink a pretty distinct personality. Plus, it's legible, and that counts for a lot with me.
I had a little trouble with clogging with all of the shimmer at first, but once it started flowing, it wrote smoothly, and in writing, I do really enjoy the glitter with this ink, too 🙂
@@cheesim I usually avoid them in my pens, too, but I had to do some writing samples while I was out and doing things in the city, so dip pens weren't practical this time. That said, these inks might take a bit of time to clean out, but at least they're not really dangerous... just messy.
Hi Mike! It was a great surprise for me, finding a chameleon ink on day 1! Kinda like this golden one, but I have to admit, it's not my favourite golden ink. But I have to play more with this ink to decide whether or not I love or just am okay with this one. At fist glance, it reminded me of Golden Sands, but nope. Way too warm compared to this one. I looked after similar inks in mine, but I think this one is really unique! At least compared to the inks I own / swatched. Can't wait for your incoming daily videos!
Yay! My favorite series on RU-vid returns:) Glad you are doing Inkvent again this year! The ink looks so pretty. I have Golden Sands by Diamine, but I like this one even better.
I have been so excited to get closer and closer to December 1 when--I hoped--you'd begin uploading your fabulous videos. They are now a part of my season's joy. Thank you so much. I was unable to get the calendar last year, but I am swabbing and writing along with you this year. These videos take a great deal of time and expertise, so again, thank you!
Whenever I hear about the inkvent calendar, part of me asks "oh... get one"? Then I see it has more ink than I have used in the last 15 years combined, so maybe not. But I'm glad it exists!
For me, I end up with a bunch of specialty inks that I would never buy otherwise... and that's handy when I want to sign Christmas cards or label gifts, etc. Granted, one calendar would have been enough for that 🙂 It's a nice preview of some inks that I end up loving, too.
@@LaDonnaPride 🙂Of course I'm just joking... it makes no difference to me who buys what, and I don't think that I'm running any risk of ever getting sponsored by Diamine or anyone else 🙂
I loved this 😊. When you open that first door, it sounded like applause, but then you destoyed this poor little door...😅 Anyway this is a great debut, this bright and shiny color is very festive. Thank you for another year of dailly inkvent calendar 🎉
It's true... I opened the hell out of that little door 🙂 Not on purpose! Actually, the whole front of my calendar arrived with some damage, and it all feels looser than it should. I'm sure that won't be the only brutalization of the doors to come.
Hey Matthew! So glad you decided to do Inkvent again. I don't use yellow inks much either but once in a while I'll be in the mood to use one. Hmmm...I think I might like Three Kings more but this one's not bad. Your videos rock. Visually beautiful, great music. So good!💜💜💜
Thanks Roxie :-) I occasionally use yellows (if they're gold enough) when I'm labeling Christmas presents and that sort of thing... that pretty much the only time that I use glittery inks, too :-)
That's exactly how I feel about this ink 🙂 I probably won't buy a large bottle, but for a yellow, this one would be usable. Good to see you back! Hope you enjoy the rest of the videos
Hello, Love your inkvent videos and have resolved to get the 2024 kit next year! Just a quick question. Is the swab you use foam or cotton? It looks like foam. Is it intended for ink swatches? Thank you!
