Unbelievable nice AR for price and quality throughout! I just picked mine up a few weeks ago what a blast! I had same issues was so excited to run her at time of purchase after about 50 rounds charging bolt was pulling hard and started metal on metal twanging. I went home, fully went through the owners manual a few times, and took it completely apart (full field strip as showin the manual, along with a couple of good YT videos as well). I learned so much about my gun by doing this. I had never stripped an AR before. Cleaned and oiled everything and same as you Steve, not a single issue since was back at the range the next day charging/pulling/shooting like a hot knife through butter! I put a Holosun HS510C on mine at time of purchase really nice Red Dot. I also have a Veridian HS1 forward grip with green laser arriving today! I can't wait to get to the range tonight and dial in the laser forward grip and put another 100 rounds through this beast! If anyone is on the fence of wanting an AR, go with Diamondback you can't go wrong. Made in the USA down in Florida. I've ordered some other goodies from them directly as well, and on one order I messed something up and accidentally did not want one of their standard mags (I much prefer the Gen4 with window) and emailed them and they cancelled that part of my order and promptly refunded me too. So they are not only an epic firearms company but provide top notch in the USofA customer service too!
I bought one in 2019 I've fired thousands of rounds through it and not one jam or misfire and I haven't used the forward assit a single time. Given it was New and I clean my guns after each use, I know I don't have to I just kinda like cleaning guns.
Phenomenal firearm! I think it's the best one for your money on the market. It's made with quality Care. All you need is an moa laser if you're going to shoot inside. You don't have to put too much money into this to enjoy it
Bought mine a week before Christmas 2021. Just shot it last week and the only problem i had , out of 2-300 rounds was my M-Lok Pic. rail coming loose and my rear stock not locking anymore , all fixable, i know, but all in all, I absolutely love the weapon
I bought me a DB15 CCMLB for $600 some time ago. I changed the furniture to my like, changed the original milspec trigger for an ALG Advanced Combat Trigger, mounted a Holosun, attached a sling to it and a tactical gun light. Voila! It turned out to be a phenomenal home defense, personal protection and security weapon system for less than half of high-end brands. I am a crack-shot with it, putting to shame rifle owners of Noveske, BCM Recce, Daniel Defense, etc. How? Because more important than anything are the individual's shooting skills, not the high price of the firearm. That does it.
Good advice, I've done that in the past with my AR10, but with the way I use this rifle I like the quick visibility of having it back as far as it is. It doesn't really bother me specifically but I know some people will definitely do what you suggested.
I will take a PMAG "plastic" magazine over milspec metal magazine any day. Pmags are made of polymer (same material glocks are made out of). Very strong, light, and ergonomic. Don't hate on pmags my man!
I have same rifle except all black, I love that thing like it was a child 😂, only issue I have with mine is my rail isn’t aligned correctly with the barrel it’s towards the right a little so iron sights are out of the question, besides ima red dot kinda guy.
I've put almost 1000 rds through my DB15 and I had 3 failures to feed with 100 rds ofTul .223 ammo, but every other ammo ran flawlessly. I have a Palmetto State AR15 and it had 5 failures to feed with 100 rds of Tul, so I would recommend that people stay away from the Tul ammo.
I just bought this same exact gun today for apparently over MSRP, smh but what exactly does the forward assist do? This is my first gun and im not very knowledgeable on the subject.
Congrats on the first step! Don't be too worried about spending over MSRP, firearms go through many economic phases. If the bolt carrier doesn't come all the way forward, pushing the round into position, you can smack the forward assist firmly until it sets into place correctly to allow you to fire. 😀
If your bolt carrier doesn't come all the way forward, you can slam your forward assist and it will forcibly push into firing position. This issue may come from lack of cleaning, not oiled properly or debri in the chamber.
