Diamond Candles reveal #7 - a long awaited stamp in the ring! 

Don't have video's but a dear friend sent me the Raspberry Vanilla Candle for this past Mother's Day. Had a beautiful purple stone. set with diamond-like stones around it. It had no stamp inside, which pretty much tells you it's the lower cost ring. I wore it for awhile and not sure if it was from hand sanitizer that I use , but the ring band discolored and it looks like it is brass underneath. It took the silver finish off on the palm side of the ring :( I still love the ring though. It glistens and is such a beautiful shade of purple. One of my daughters sent me 3 candles for this past Christmas. I was surprised and had to wait a few days before lighting it up. Had told her we'd burn one when she came to visit, so she would be here for the opening to see what I got. It is a pretty pink stoned ring with diamond-like stones around it, but again with no stamp. Well ( and I HOPE she doesn't see this post) inside with the ring was a small slip of paper that had a number beginning with letter. (Don't think she saw the paper inside) On the back it said REVEAL . So my other daughter went to the web site and as soon as the number was entered it said CONGRATS you've won a ring.valued at $1,000.00 ( not word for word) I was so excited I forget EXACTLY what it said. It gave a page of $1,000 valued rings to chose from ( at least 20 I'd say) I picked out a pretty one and it says it's been mailed, but I've yet to receive it. I want to send it to my daughter for her Jan 14th birthday, since she sent me the candles in the first place. :)

I also got a ring that was stamped SCHINA. I took it into jcpennys to the jewelry stand to see what they thought. The lady used a pen device to check each of the stones. my ring had a large center stone surrounded by smaller clear stones. She checked every small stone and for each small stone it beeped! She said that the smaller stones were all diamond. I couldn't believe it! I have yet to get it appraised bc I'm not sure if its worth appraising haha. and i also tried getting it resized but they said the metal was rhodium plated, so my question to diamond candles is, why put diamonds on a cheap metal? doesn't make sense...

There is a lot of info on these kinds of markings, even with the stamp of 925 the silver plate was scratched off of the ring and you could SEE the brass! The stamp was a lie. I love the "precious China" comment, too funny. You can get these rings (exactly like this with different color czs in them) in this design for auction on eBay for less than $5 from sellers in China. I have, that's why I know. These are fun, but they are just costume jewelry. If the candles are good, with even burn and saturated scent, then they are worth it, but chances of getting the "real" deal are about like lottery chances. They hook us with the scavenger hunt response most of us have ;-)

I was pretty intrigued by your reveal, but just to let you know a few things coming from someone that has worked in jewelry sales for many years: 1.) It is not a jeweler's rule of thumb to only put diamonds in 14K white gold. It used to be that case 5-10 years ago, but because of the dwindling economy of the past few years, it has become more and more common for jewelry stores to carry sterling silver gemstone and diamond jewelry so that more people can afford "nice" jewelry. 2.) when a ring is stamped "Pd" it actually stands for Palladium, a metal that some jewelry manufacturers use because it is a lightweight metal in the platinum family that is hypoallergenic. Palladium is a good metal to use because people that have an allergic reaction to gold can typically wear palladium without having any reaction, but it costs quite a bit less than it's VERY expensive cousin, Platinum. Hope this information helps on your jewelry hunting quests! :)

Aloha my friends, It looks like Peridot and White Topaz or White Zircon (low quality), however an interesting note about China is they havee the BEST peridot (Mandarin Peridot). If you have photos of your other rings, I could tell you what they might be based on the photo (I'm a gemstone enthusiast...my fun hobby). Sadly, most jewelers charge $50+ for appraisals. Consider your purchases as a hobby and you'll have loads of fun. If you're trying to win on a chnce, you'ddo better purchasing jewelry from estate sales. That's untrue. Some diamonds are placed on lower k gold then 14. Jewelry do it to increase sales while keeping low prices
