That fight was right in front of me. At one point I thought I saw Reddekopp's soul leave his body just for a second 😂 ! Amesbury plays like it's the 1970s again and I love it !
He can't even skate.. Would probably throw down with the 50/50 guy.. Fighting is ok in the heat of the moment but this isn't hockey. He's a clown. Entertaining.. funny.
The Fort Wayne Komets live on WOWO on the a.m. dial , sadly I don't remember the dial numbers but I used to listen to the game every Saturday night that the radio waves would bounce around the atmosphere and I could pick it up clear as a bell here in Connecticut way back in the the 70's and early 80's.Glad to see that they are still playing the game in Fort Wayne.
It is in fact 1190 and Bob Chase was the voice that made me fall in love with Hockey. He was a treasure that will be missed. If you have not done so, go to your local ECHL game. They are amazing games and the atmosphere is second to none.
They say you can’t win a cup with a goon squad anymore but part of me doubts that. If you can get a solid grind line I think you can literally wear and tear the skill teams out.
@@mijkosnook7787 AHL still has goon’s , & i’m positive thats not a garbage league. Look at the NHL this year , for an example players are actually getting into brutal arguments with referees over roughing calls, and this past season has had more fights, especially bench clearing ones, and more so then in years past..what does that tell you, it tells me the players are pushing back & want the grittiness, the contact , and the fighting in the game, despite the league trying to pussify the NHL like in every other pro sports leagues. It’s Hockey culture and embraced by the people who actually play the game not just watch it , so maybe volleyball is a better sport for you to spectate than hockey …just saying.
I’m born in 87, we were taught to protect ourselves. This generation of players uses their backs as a defence for hits. That guy is coming around the net not expecting a hit. Kids these days need to watch old rock em sock em and not RU-vid highlight on celebrations
Old days. Massive hit but in the old days most players would be ready and prepared for a hot like this .New days.. This is a major penalty. It is a hit to the head. 5 minute major and reviewed.
@@3ormore660 Because within a 12 month span (which puts him at repeat offender status) he received a match penalty for attempt to injure and then last December he received a match penalty for deliberate injury after he hit a guy late. Not only was the hit late but he drove the guy’s head into the glass with his elbow/forearm. The player ended up being stretchered off the ice. In short it pushed the league to the point that they decided they’d had enough of his shit and banned him.
In response gotta treat it like a war, accept no defeat. 1 on 1 taking a L can’t be accepted. Do what it takes to win, if you gotta fight dirty so be it. Never take a L
