I really liked doing that DAC painting. My labels, while removable...also fell off, so they were perhaps a little TOO removable. I had to tape them on with clear tape because they started to curl and eventually fell off. I liked the size of it, too. It was one that I did when I was waiting for something else, I think?? Maybe it was when I was waiting for the diamonds to come in from Ever Moment for my HAED crown jewel canvas, but I'm not completely sure. I like how we all have a different idea of what large is. My sweet spot is 50x75 or 50x70. I typically don't do many that are significantly larger than that solely because anything wider than 50 is difficult to fit on my diamond painting desk. In fact, the largest I've done to date was my first ever square and it was a 60x80 custom from Ever Moment...if I had realized that 60x90 was the more common frame size, I would have ordered it in that size, oops. I have had a couple of 60x90 paintings kitted up for a year give or take a bit and I just haven't been able to bring myself to work on them because my diamond painting area just won't accommodate that size all that easily. Once I finished my other crown jewel canvas a couple of weeks ago, I made myself start on one of them. The main deterrent had been not being able to figure out the logistics in how to work on the middle, but I dove in without having figured out a solution. I lean heavily against my desk, so I have a tendency to crease the ends of the painting if they go over the edge and I really don't want to do that to the actual diamond painting surface. When I did my 60x80, I didn't have a diamond painting area and just used a 3ft square folding table we had. I might have to move to another desk when I get to the middle since a large desk seemed to work the first time.

Fellow Washingtin person here. 👋 Tukwila and Renton are pretty high crime, which is probably why they were locked up. I went to the one in Federal Way and it was not locked up. I don't have the tray towers either because I'm a clutz and would end up tripping the whole thing over. I use the bottle system and the Elizabeth Ward containers. I do numbers first, then letters then for the symbols I go down the rainbow. I started doing this when i did one of the DAC mystery kits and it was the only way I could do it to make sense to my brain. Lol!!

Can save this question for future WIP :) What is going on with the canvases that you have had kitted up for a long while and haven't wanted to finish? Bad drills? Bad canvas? Rendering not what you hoped? Maybe show us in future video. Just curious!

I purchased mine at hobby lobby last year and still haven't even unboxed it yet . Squares are not my forte so I will save it for a day I feel braver at squares.

They are both really great paintings. The colors of crystals with that front is awesome. I watched your wip and chat, your unboxing and this kitting up all while working on my sunflower painting. Were you born in the US or the Philippines? I know your parents live there, but I was just wondering when they went back since you and your sister are here. Thanks for keeping me company and sharing.

Joan, could you comment on your favorite storage options now that you have added more types since your last storage video? Particularly, I'm wondering what you think of the tic tac system (smaller and bigger sizes) vs. Harbor Freight. I haven't seen you use your HF ones in a while and wonder about your thoughts. A response instead of a video is great too. Thanks!
