I got my first diamond today and it was a level 5 elk and then 2 gold moose right after on Layton lake

I was pretty sure the theory that each animal that spawns near max level can also spawn as a maxed animal was correct until I did a moose hunt on Layton and 3 zones that previously had 4s, one of which was a 922, had all females with the exception of the 922 zone that had a level 3. I think there are zones predetermined that can spawn big animals. It also tends to be that max level animals tend to spawn with other near max level animals around them, which gives more creedance to it being determined by the individual zone. From what I've observed, I think the predetermined zones randomly roll what they are going to spawn, but most zones cannot possibly rolled a diamond while others have a slim chance to.

Flinter I got my first two diamonds by using your tactics I found a 592 moose track tracked it and shot the it in the heart withe the 7mm and dropped it. I checked consec and then I had a 955 diamond moose. Then I found a 95 whitetail track found it and brain shot him and checked my consec and got a 960 diamond whitetail

Have you seen a glitch where you get a piebald mule deer but it looks the opposite as a normal one? It had no fur type and in the log it said LOC:1553481 or something like that. It didn't crash my game, but it is weird.

if you are playing pc, just press the scroll wheel to take off the sight. and when you kill an animal it shows a purple circle around where the animal was when you shot it which is called hunting pressure. so he looked on the map and saw the hunting pressure and knew that he killed the animal.

I found a herd of water buffalo and after 20 min of spotting I saw a Ivl 9 shot it and it ran for a second died then I was trampled by 2 bulls lost my consec went around got it back went to go claim that lvl 9 and game crashed :( I still havent found another.

The game should autosave for you and reload where you left off each time you launch the game. It saves to your Steam account rather than a local file so there's no need to manually save.

xXTRIPLEXx “consec” stands for consecutive harvests which is how many animals you have taken consecutively, which is a factor of the overall trophy rating in game.

That's the Fernando map. Diamond red deer are very tough to get there, I've resigned myself to waiting a few months to try again.

I'm having a rough day, I shot an albino lvl 4 monster mule deer then my game crashed, then I got on and I found a lvl 9 red deer with the bigger rack and killed it, then before i picked it up i found a albino puma and shot it at 300 yards, then while I was going to pick it up my game crashed again. I am going to take a break Intel EW fixes there game. I also have a very good pc
