I bought the exact same one on Amazon and I do appreciate the tutorial, some people gave it bad reviews is because they did not read the instructions but watching this video helps a lot. Now let's go find some rock!
I just bought one of these and didn’t understand the instructions. So I searched RU-vid for a how to video and picked yours, thank you for easily explaining everything!
This was SO helpful!! I am a collector of Vintage items and recently found some old jewelry and this tells me what I suspected there are diamonds in these pearl necklaces I found!!! Thank you SO MUCH!!! It is worth the money paid for this gadget!!!!
Very informative video. I was looking for something as detailed and precise as described because I've got a few pieces I'd like to confirm are authentic, mainly a few watches that have diamonds set around the bezel as well as a few rings I've had for a while. Interesting how the tester works and it's various settings. Many thanks for the education!
Picky, thank you so much. You should have been a teacher, your video explained how the diamond tested works, so well. I've owned the same tester for years, but never figured out how to use it. After watching other videos, it was you who showed me how it works. Thank you soooooo much. Oh, by the way, the diamond gold ring I found with my metal detector at the beach, It's not a diamond, but it still is gold :).
You have the most self explaining video without focusing outside the subject your explanation was the best! Thank you for keeping it simple! Deserve a big thumbs up!
I just bought the gadget from Amazon UK. I have no idea how to use it not until I found your video. Thank you so much for uploading the You Tube channel video. It is so useful.
This was an excellent video!! I was able to follow along with your instructions and check some of the jewelry I had. I had a ring that I knew had real diamonds and so by using this one I was able to determine that I was following along with your instructions accurately and so when I check some other pieces and the device did not register them as being real diamonds I knew I was using the device accurately!! Tfs!!
Wow! That's a cool, interesting little device. Very handy for jewelry collectors. Unbelievable! You found a diamond in a jewelry jar from Goodwill. That's incredible.
Hi Darnelle - Yes, that big diamond pendant necklace came from a jewelry jar! I was amazed when I learned it was a diamond!! I do love this diamond tester! Thanks for watching! 😊
I actually got mine on eBay for 11.99 but I was curious how do you check the gemstones because it does say it checks gemstones and diamonds and I got the same exact one you have, that's what the description said on eBay anyway, and I literally just got it so I was looking on RU-vid for how to work it and came across your video
Thanks Pinky, I bought the same exact one. I was so bad because it didn’t work!!! But then I watched your video and GUESS WHAT, mine does work! I didn’t know what I was doing, thank you for showing us how simple this tester is to use. 💕👍
Thank you I couldn’t figure out how to use the light colors on the front with the settings they give. I’ve found a few diamonds 💎 in just a few minutes now ❤ Can’t believe I was going to seller these as a “Junk jewelry lot”! 💃
Wow I finally know how to use it. This is my 3rd on didn't know how to calibrate lol. I have 30 rescue kitty's I care for with my sales this really helps bless you
Thank you so much for the explanation, I bought one of these from eBay but the instructions are very sketchy so I thank you for explaining how to use/work this Diamond Selector 2. Good break on the 1ct diamond I bet your price for this went up very quickly or you decided to keep it for future price rises, really a good find at the op shop well done. One last comment I was lucky enough to get the battery included with the eBay device. Again thank you. Very well done on the real gold 1ct diamond.😁😁😀😀🙃🙃🙃
Loved the video I bought one of these from ebay and it had no instructions! I lurv your babies! My husband and I have an animal shelter and need to start raising money in different ways, I have lots of jewellery and get some donated so this diamond tester is going to come in real handy paws crossed I find loads to help the doggies! 😁 Thanks for your help it was pawsome
Thanks for explaining the settings on the back, I've been a bit puzzled by them also I was so happy when you tested that big diamond in the necklace oh it is beautiful. All the best Madam
*Wonderful explanation. I just received my Diamond Selector 2 and was confused by how to start, you were very informative and easy to understand with your instructions. I do wonder however about Moissanite Diamonds and if they can cause false positives on this unit? I did buy the Moissan/Diamond Tester as well but haven't got around to trying that one out. I'll be checking your channel out to see if you have any information on that. Thanks!*
You've done a good instructional video here. I've ordered one of these from China and I'm expecting the included instructions to be terrible. When you get into watches this is one of the tools you tend to pick up. Thanks for the video!
Got $2 earrings from a thrift store & I kept insisting they're real to my son, that I could tell by the sparkle. They'd even sparkle the inside of my ball cap in the sun. He ordered this tester for me, and LOOK, they're real! Haha, I love this little tester. My pinky ring lit up all 4 bars.
I have one and I still learned some good tips, great demonstration. Fred and Alfy are smart they're not telling how many diamonds they've found! That diamond in the gold necklace you found looks HUGE!! Nice score Barbara. WTG!
Hi Bro. Nice Rings. Just giving you a Heads Up. You need to get a Presidium Muti Diamond & Moissanite Tester. Moissanite are FAKE Diamonds that Test like Diamonds on that Old Diamond Tester you got. Good Luck, Happy Hunting and God Bless : )
I just want to say thank you. I have been trying to use this with no results! If not for you I would have thrown this away. I didn't know you had to put your two fingers on the plate and never knew what that scale on the back was used for. Thank you again and happy hunting!
This video was very helpful i bought mine with a acid test kit and the diamond tester came with but had no instructions. I was able to test some jewelry I though had diamonds and turns out I was right 10 items this month I picked that have diamonds! Thanks so much for making this video♡
bought this off amazon as well. waited a bit for it from china, but well worth the wait. discovered i had a couple items with real diamonds so that was pretty cool :) watching your video helped me get used to using it. thank you muchly :)
Thank you for sharing👍. I now know how my tester works. The 1Crt Diamond Could also be a Moissanite Diamond. These pass a diamond tester. even the jeweler can't see it.
A very well explained testing sequence. I have learnt a lot as I will now use the Diamond Selector Il Tester correctly. Elias Munjuzi, Solwezi, Zambia.
Hello, yes Alfred and Fred gave their approval on the Diamond tester. Glad you kept the diamond pendant. One can never know What's in those mystery jewelry bags or jars. GREAT VIDEO AND GREAT CONTENT. THUMBS-UP ALWAYS!!!!!!!!
Thank goodness I found your video because I was testing some thing I purchased as a diamond stupidly, forgot to take the cap off I was wondering why it wasn’t registering 😅🤦♀️ when I saw yours, I realized what looked wrong on mine and fixed a very stupid mistake lol
Hi Mandi. I’m glad my video helped! BTW, that was not a stupid mistake… It’s very easy to miss the fact that the end has a cap. Many people have done exactly that. 😊
@@pickychick777 absolutely! You saved me from flipping out on the jeweler I bought it from lol. The only reason I thought to check it was because my band is failing because it is just over 5ct and I had them set it in sterling silver to match my other jewelry but I haven’t even had it for a year and the setting is quite bent. Found out from some local reputable dealers that it should’ve never been such an sterling silver tip again, and that even the design of the setting is poor. So I thought since the jeweler I bought it from didn’t have that kind of knowledge that maybe they gypped me on the stone too 😅 it came out perfect after taking the cap off lol. The funny thing is it felt super squishy and I was like I’m pretty sure every other diamond tester. I’ve seen has a metal tip, but the cap literally looked attached to it lol
Awh your little dog is a twin of mine! so cute same face exactly, If I didnt know it I would have thought my little lottie had gone on holiday to the US! :)
☺️ .. I have the same tester; mine says that I need to keep my index finger on the silver part. I just got mine last week, so maybe mine is a different model?? 🤷♀️ Thank you for this video; I feel a lot less intimidated now & will be using it for the 1st time tonight. 👍🏾
@@pickychick777 ok let me know, but if i can give you a tip dont trust no one to keep your diamond to check it, because they can exrract it and put another in it . So be carefull , its a shame you dont live where i live because i live in the diamond capitol of the world ANTWERP 😉
Sadly the diamond industry is a huge scam. Diamonds are actually significantly more common than many people think. The industry simple hiked the prices using adds to make people think diamonds are worth much more than they are. That's why when selling diamonds, they actually don't really go for anywhere near as much as one would think.
Thank you for your guidance. I bought this same model diamond 💎 tester PuriTEST P7 and it does work well. Note that you can also test rubies and sapphires, and the meter should go up to #9 in the mohs scale and diamonds are the highest of #10 in the mohs scale of stone hardness. Rubies and sapphires are the same 'Corundum' composition but in different colors. My unit did come with the battery included for the $14 price. It's so funny that your video length is 10:15 and that is my birthday in October.
Hi, thank you for this video, now I know how to use it. I'm quite amaze when I did try this to a raw stone which I thought is jade, and it went way up to its red light
