Today we take a ride on one of the only single deck B7Ls to be dual door, which has since been converted to single door, on the 55 along the Plymouth Road. We sit near the engine compartment, where you can hear the engine ticking away. Where it was converted from dual door, the door control box can be seen, the floor material is wrong, and on the exterior, a lip can be seen above the window where the door was. Rotala replaced all the seats, including the plastic and moquette. The sear backs don't all match, but the moquette does, which looks rather smart. Most commonly, this B7L, which is the only one in the Rotala fleet gets on the 247 services, aswell as smaller town local services (not the 57/58 "track" service). When new to Go-Ahead's London Central, it carried the fleetnumber VWL1. The banging that can be repeatedly hear is the seats infront of the engine moving forward when the bus breaks, as they weren't screwed in-place properly. Redditch's main depot is located off of Plymouth Road. When acquired by Rotala, the B7L was used on services at the University of Bristol, carrying the registration A9UOB.
