Hi Travis, Good shots, Sorptsmatchs AOP56 1PC fully adjustable, are very good. I think that for this Diana 34, which are exigent springs, shooting only with a Sandbag, gives a better result. Have a good week.
That is one fine group from 30 yards, friend! Today was hot, humid and windy here in south central MN, low 90's. Today, Tuesday, is my usual day off from work, and I enjoy getting a good shooting session in. Due to the weather outside, my shooting session was inside with my blowgun, great fun.
I’ve been watching different videos on Diana & Weihrauch rifles & I’ve finally made up my mind , I’m going with the Diana rifles , gotta have this Diana 34 !!!
I know! Maybe it was a fluke lol! I’ve also been known to be incorrect about 70% of the time. So, maybe I owe Crosman Pellets an apology lol. Hope you’re doing great Gman!
makes me wonder how it'd like similar but from Daisy label(s). its luck my 3 .177 are happy with the 7780 HP's, Winchester or Daisy label. I have heard Crosman in .22 can be better pellets than same in .177 size.
That’s a great idea! I’ve considered putting a tune kit in there too. But, it’s performing pretty good where it’s at idk. Any word on your other channel?
@@ohshoot444 My other channel is gone. All I was doing was editing the channel and somehow it tripped the bots and they snatched the channel from me for a video that was over 2 years old, and not politically correct. I will never be politically correct. BTW I'm still on the search for a Diana 34 177. Looks like the 177 is extremely accurate. I like my HW's but I wish that one was a 177. I was scrolling through the forums and a lot of the air gunners believed that the 177 was more accurate than the 22s in the HW's.
Staying cool... our central air conditioning died. Can't get it replaced right now. It was 97 degrees outside today. I set up a couple portable AC units for now, but they couldn't deal with that heat. Picked up another, even higher BTU unit today, put it in to cover the kitchen/living room area, moving the kitchen one to the dining room tomorrow. Supposed to be ridiculously hot again Wednesday.
got a pitched roof with a gable fan set up in it? did wonders for a friends house putting one up in the attic space to blow hot air out, pull cooler air in+through. when his attic hits 115-120 the thermostat switch kicks the fan on, keeps HOT from blasting down through the ceilings.
To anyone suffering from extreme hold sensitivity, try "soft bedding" the stock. I cut 2 roughly 1/2 inch wide pieces of paper towel length wise then cut those pieces in half so I ended up with 4 strips. I then put 2 pieces on top of each other on each side of the stock and placed them just in front of the forward most trigger guard screw. This deadend most of the spring boing/buzz I was having with my diana 34 in .22. I could hear and feel the difference. I just shot 2 quarter size groups at 25 yards open sighted from a rested position using 2 different holds. Before I did this I was getting 2 and 3 inch groups while doing my very best to hold it EXACTLY the same way every shot. I haven't tested it a lot but I can tell that the difference is night and day. I've been battling with this gun since I bought it, trying everything I could to get it to group decent. I just happened to come across "soft bedding" on an airgun forum this morning and gave it a shot. Hope this helps someone. Edit: I should add that paper towel shouldn't be used as a permanent fix due to moisture issues. Guys on the forum were using 1/8 inch thick neoprene strips with an adhesive backing.
Hi Travis, nice shooting considering a windy day and .22 caliber with Crossman pellets. I have a question for you ... I don't hear much spring twang and was wondering if it was like that after your lube job or if it settled in with the 500+ pellets fired between that lube job and this clip? Reason I ask is I have one in .177 that was honking when I got it and after it was serviced it doesn't do that any more but there is a lot of twang.
You ever try the JSB Diablo pellets? In mine, it was probably the best grouping pellet, and I think it was the 18 grain pellet. I was wondering about their heavier pellets. 20+ grain. Been awhile since I have had it out.
@@ohshoot444 : Still trying to shake this Bronchitis that went full blown pneumonia on Me . I’ve been back at work because My PTO ran out, just doing light duty .
Good shooting! Your 34 is quiet, not hearing any spring twang. I have a RWS 350 that shoots well. Speaking of the Crosman pellets. They shoot lights out in a FWB match rifle and in a German springer in .177.
That rifle is looking good and shooting well. The furthest I ever shot it was 25 yards. I notice how you’re shooting the hollow points. I notice how the hornets tend to do more damage than hollow points and penetrate more too but not penetrate quite as deeply as domed pellets do even from less powerful rifles. It seems like with my Hatsan 135 QE vortex .25 shooting hornets they tend to deposit most of their energy within the first 5 inches and then not penetrate quite as deeply as the 5 foot pounds of energy less Diana 350 magnum .22 I used to have did when shooting JSB Diablo 18.13 grain domed pellets but even though the domed would penetrate slightly more even with less foot pounds of energy they would do as much damage within the first 5 inches. Hence my more powerful rifle will shoot a hornet through an unopened gallon container of Hawaiian Punch which the less powerful rifle I had 3 years ago couldn’t do because it’s about 5 inches of liquid to get through plus 2 layers of thick plastic but the hornet deposits most of it’s energy within the first 5 inches but the domed pellet with less power holds onto more of it’s energy though consistently and does less damage within that first 5 inches but will penetrate slightly deeper by actually exiting the second plastic gallon water jug and poking though not piercing the third jug
You know I haven’t chronyd it. I’ve been getting enough time to mess with stuff again now that the days are longer. I’ll have to get that thing back out.
@@ohshoot444 doing ok here. Works getting busy. Not had any time for shooting lately since I bought a bigger lathe. Just trying to keep up with making stuff to pay for it.
@@ohshoot444 I was trying to get a good used one but I'm impatient. I did take a 3 hour drive to go pick one up. Was chatting with the guy the day before and was texting him during the day when I was on my way there AND for the two hours I waited for him to get out of work. The guy then sold it to someone else and tried to say he didn't know I was coming!! I was mad as hell. After that BS I just whipped out the credit card and bought a new one because that was just more hassle and stress than I wanted to deal with again. I burned a vacation day and put $80 in my truck and all I got was p****d off.
Then you being the dummy go right back to Wal-Mart or (used to be K-Mart) and buy another expecting a different outcome and it never happened. Lol Back in the day between our .22 LR rimfire rifles and air guns they ordered and sold those elcheapo Tasco scopes by the train car load I think. Sometimes the crosshairs would just fall out or shoot out within 20ish rounds or so. They were junk..........
