You discovered what to me is the best voice I have heard and a beautiful soul and natural artist. This was when she first burst onto the scene in a big way. Everyone one of her performances on this show have gone viral and are incredible. The next year she was in the Grand-Prix for the winners and finalists and the same mind blowing talent was on display. She is twenty now and getting better and better. In voice she is 1 of 1. This is the first of four performances that Diana gave on the 2018 Russian tv contest _You are Super_ . She was already famous, but this contest was her coming of age. Greetings from Scotland! Yes, it IS a beautiful thing to see/hear such an immensely vocally talented young lady perform at this level! To fully appreciate just how incredible Diana is, you need to know what "created" this unique vocal phenomenon:- Diana is 20yo currently but I've been following her career since she was around 13yo. Diana is a natural Dramatic Contralto so the lower registers are her comfort zone but she continually works on her vocals and her upper range. She also naturally sings with polyphonic overtones so it often sounds like many voices at the same time! Any song, any genre, in any language, Diana can sing it and improve it! Diana's birthmother had multiple miscarriages but when Diana came along, she seemed to hate her. She verbally and physically abused her, trying to drown her and belittle her. It all culminated when (at 3yo) a passing relative found her in her home with a broken collarbone and several other injuries. She went for the authorities who removed Diana from her birthmothers care and placed her in an orphanage. For almost 2 years Diana never gave up hope and she knew that she was meant for something better. (This story is in her Wikipedia entry) Finally her new mother (Irina Ponik, who worked as a masseuse there occasionally) Signed her adoption papers and took her home. She vowed to pay Irina back for her kindness. Irina had a real struggle because Diana had obviously been badly affected by the experiences and at 5yo, she had a very bad stammer. It was recommended that she be taken for singing lessons to help this and immediately it was recognised that Diana had perfect pitch and an excellent ear for music and songs. 1 year later, at 6yo, Diana was performing solo on stage! This young unique phenomenon sang everywhere and anywhere she could, working constantly to earn money for the family who rescued her. Deniere Danse was her first performance (in French), followed by It's A Man's World (in English). The judges suggested she sing her next song in their native Russian and she chose Rechenka which is considered one of her masterpieces, even at such a young age.
