No need to worry. Diana (almost 18 yo now) is a contralto; for her this sound is sustainable and healthy, she's not damaging her voice and it's certainly not a flash in the pan. She's simply a breed apart.

To really grasp her talent you need to listen to her « Rechenka ». Diana’s natural register is extremely low. Example, for her ‘Human’ was a ‘lazy’ song. Easy to sing. It’s actually higher tones that she struggles with at times. She had to work very VERY hard to regain her higher registers when her voice changed. If anything, I would worry about vocal stress on her high tones.

You should definitely check out Rechenka, Finicky Horses , Non je ne regretted rien (big outdoor stage video). Take on me,and Vibes.Into the Skies is a recent video and shows off some of her expanding range.

Kia ora. If you want re-assurance, check out her covers of Aha's "Take on Me", Cabella's "Havana" and, for some lower range goodness, her cover of Rag and Bone Man's "Human" - her growl is gorgeous! She's said that her voice depened during pubery and she's actually had to work at maintaining, and extending, her upper register - rather than the other way round.

Zoe, in interviews she has stated that she was having trouble with her upper ranges which she has been working on. In her music video, "Into the Skies" her upper range comes through very well, she was about 17 when that was recorded.

She is a natural contralto, with a large larynx which sits pretty low even relaxed. Most vocal coaches also agree that she is polyphonic, so her sound is natural without having to add effects on top of her voice.
