The next phases were: when they arrived in the first large organized immigration to Palestine or "Aaliyah" in 1882, then after the first Zionist Congress of 1897, and then the British facilitated and expedited Aaliyah and subsequent settlements between 1917 and 1948! All of these cannot be considered anything other than *Colonial Settlers,* and thus need to pack and return to the European countries they came from in the first place, such as Poland, Germany, Lithuania, Romania, and so on. So yes, this ill-conceived Settler Colonial Project needs to be abolished just like every empire or colonization is abolished even if it takes 300 years. The Jews were a mere 4% of the population of Palestine in 1850 before their first European financed settlement of Palestine in 1860. This simply cannot go on as this dream of an exclusively Jewish State is being built on the literal graves of the indigenous people of Palestine.

The rest of the world has not been oblivious - but our voices aren’t being heard. They’re drowned out by the well-oiled PR machine that is Israel. Mainstream media won’t cover this conflict from a non-Jewish perspective (there are some Jews critical of Israel’s policies but they’re also drowned out or ridiculed). I’ve studied and witnessed this conflict for decades, all the time feeling ashamed and astonished at my country’s (USA) complicity in Israel’s war crimes, as well as the deafening silence from Europe because they can’t get past the guilt of their anti-Semitic past to call out Israel on its present. Israel has made it so that any criticism of their policy is regarded as anti-semitism. The last two Israeli governments have ensured the revival of fanatic Zionism (Bibi’s father was one of the founding fathers of Zionism, which does not contemplate a 2-state solution - or Arabs in Israel for that matter). And now in America the Israeli fanaticism has spread. Jews hold a lot of political, academic and financial power in the US, making it possible for Israel to shape and influence much of American policy in the Middle East. I’m not Muslim or Jewish, but from where I stand Israel has abused the Palestinian people and the very allies that helped create it long enough. I don’t want another penny of my money going towards a nation-state that uses it for the sole purpose of having a military that commits genocide.
