@@bbFan2024No, they don’t listen. They are soft and hate the game. Bc original fans know DT fueling this rivalry is proof of her commitment to the game and league. She is doing this FOR the league and ultimately CC even at risk of her own detriment. She has praised CC, given her PLENTY of positive attention, as have other OGs. DT even rooted for the “best” team to win in the Final Four Iowa against UCONN (her alma mater). People just tuning in want a fight. Clark VS EVERYONE. 🙄 Just like the Reese drama despite Caitlin and Angel having respect for each other off the court. DT has done this to most rookies, not out of pettiness but RESPECT, even to PLUM, but KP isn’t a protected princess like CC. DT and KP are actually good friends and no way CC is as upset or in need of protection as much as her fans want her to be.

@@bbFan2024 Her premise that social media is the reason for Caitlin's phenomenal fan base is WAY WRONG. She infers that she and her cohorts have always been great and can out draw Caitlin. Here is the thing that is so sad. The WNBA wants more fans, bigger arenas, and make more money. Part of the answer has just fallen in their lap. They could not have asked for anything better than Caitlin Clark. It does not matter if she ever turns out to be great, it does not matter if Taurasi likes her or not. Caitlin Clark can single handedly help (maybe save) the WNBA. Just like Magic and Bird did for the NBA. Doesn't matter if it's because she reminds people of Steph Cury. Doesn't matter if it's because she is white. It just doesn't matter why. But instead of realizing the promotional opportunity this brings, Diana Taurasi is so petty, and so buttsore, and so defensive over whatever, that she would rather the WMBA goes on sucking than being prosperous. Caitlin Clark can help bring in a new TV contract and streaming contract for the league. Caitlin Clark has already helped sell tickest. All teams are selling more tickets and playing in front of bigger crowds. BECAUSE OF CAITLIN CLARK. Taurasi would rather everyone remember how great she is and was (and she is) rather than have the WNBA be successful, Petty and selfish. It also reminds me of why I never liked UCONN. This is the type of people they have always had, Self serving front runners who are all about themselves.

What’s annoying is people speaking on the WNBA who’ve never watched until now. All of a sudden everybody has an opinion. Smh. At least in the men’s game and other sports they honor the greats who’ve come before them. That’s not what’s happening here. They’re totally discrediting all of the amazing female basketball players who have graced the basketball court before Caitlin Clark and acting like she’s some kind of unicorn. People’s beef is not with Caitlin, she’s been a class act, their beef is with the media and all of these bandwagon fans who are acting like the women’s game hasn’t always been entertaining. If it wasn’t for the Lisa Leslie’s, Candace Parker’s, and Dawn Staley’s of the world, there would be no Caitlin Clark. Those women deserve more respect than what they’ve been getting. I’m sure they appreciate the increased viewership, but it’s also a slap in the face to make Caitlin Clark out to be some sort of “savior” of women’s basketball. It’s about giving credit where credit is due. Just because the hype around Caitlin Clark’s name is putting more eyes on the WNBA doesn’t mean people shouldn’t point out the obvious biases and privileges that this younger generation is receiving. Honestly the new college NIL contracts and better marketing are the reasons for increased viewership. Talent has never been the issue. This younger generation is benefiting from luxuries players before them didn’t have. That’s pretty much the point she was trying to make. It’s not hate, it’s facts.

She's says that see continues to play as a 41 year old, because see is still learning from the game. Give me a break! She is such full crap!! She is still hanging on to the memories of her past glory. Time to hang it up and go out gracefully! She should be giving more love and encouragement to all these rookies coming in. If she wants to be remembered for her legacy, she should take a more positive role as ambassador of the game and talk more about positives steps the league needs to take.

DT is a future hall of famer and she was a BETTER college player than Caitlin. She's speaking facts about the power of social media and marketing. The fact that most of you didn't know who CC was until the tournament 2 years ago and the many viral videos is a testament to that.
@MusSuk2BU
@MusSuk2BU 4 дня назад
Caitlin Clark was the best and most prolific scorer in woman's basketball and the ncaa history but she was by far not the best "player". JuJu Watkins is bigger, faster, stronger, quicker, taller and a better defensive player and scoring machine from anywhere on the court, including the logo 3, driving to the hoop or going left or right. She has the most points in ncaa history as a freshman, including Clark's numbers and she was only a freshman. Listen to NBA players talk about her. Gilbert Arenas said she would have been drafted #1 if she was coming out this year. And let's not even talk about Paige "Buckets", player of the year as a freshman and will come out next year. She's also a better "player", quicker, faster, slasher and an arsenal with shooting. Social media and wide-open 3s has everyone blinded by Clark and that is great for the WNBA but the disrespect towards the vets and hate towards Clark are equally disturbing.

It’s true. And I think Diana is amazing. But I also think she does this slight invalidation when she could just flow admiration. She doesn’t need to do the backhanded compliment bc it comes across like she doesn’t actually appreciate it. There is slight resentment in her tone. But hey, it’s also her personality generally and she’s a great enough player that she should be allowed some grace to be the way she is and we shouldn’t take it so personally. The media loves to pin players against each other for story line.

And she plays a more male centric iso game, which makes her unique. Clark is the show for the majority of people period.. her coach needs to use the new weapon they got in clark. I understand as a coach you have a system, but when you get the number one talent in several years YOU have to adjust as a coach to having a weapon you didn't have before. Otherwise you are the one not doing tour job.
