Caitlin Clark's fans are writing checks she can't cash right out the gate. Give her some grace and time to adjust.

There is obviously more to the Clarke hate than some thinking she will instantly shine and some who expect an adjustment period. There has never been a rookie in any sport who was attacked, denigrated, and conspired against like Clarke, and it has nothing to do with adjusting to the WNBA...

I can't deny there's hate but I don't agree that she's the most hated because she has equal if not more love. What do you feel is the root since you don't believe it's the adjustment period? Thanks for commenting. Please like and subscribe.

Good deal so you can say you know her game "pretty well". Right? That being said I've seen her from the outside looking in (as an opponent). I have ties to the B1G Ten (Michigan and Nebraska) then I'm a huge S Carolina Women's Basketball fan so I pay attention to the SEC as well. Caitlin is a great player but do you feel she's the ONLY player that could have uplifted the women's game? I honestly think that is the root of the divide. Some feel she was given "titles" too soon w/o fully producing (championships).

Real damage was done by these ppl and the media for hyping this girl up. From April headlines "Former NBA player Kevin Garnett believes Clark could score points if she played in the NBA." “Caitlin Clark is stealing the show of basketball, not only in the women’s game but also the men’s game,” Celtics forward Sam Hauser said. “She’s just really that good." "Could Caitlin Clark Play in the NBA? Shaq Post Fuels Talk" i was one of many lured into this women's sports and wanted to see how great CC was. Now that dust has been settled, we can clearly see that DT was being realistic. if CC can drop 30 or 40 pts a night like in her NCAA days, everyone will be her fan. but that's not what's happening and many are questioning her performance and why she struggles so much.

I've said on separate videos that Caitlin has never bragged abt how good she is. Her fans however will yell it every chance they get. That keeps the spotlight on her to be seen (good or bad). I truly felt that Taurasi's comments were realistic. Two things are true: Caitlin can play the game AND she won't dominate at this level until she's made adjustments to her game. In college the B1G had a handful of smaller guards. Once she blew by them it was a bucket. Now the guards are bigger and harder to blow by (faster). Even if she gets a step they're blocking her shot from behind. She'll learn to hit them with a hezzy (to create separation), pump fake to get and 1 opportunities (or at least free throws instead of blocks), or she'll realize she needs to drive and kick to shooters since her layup is contested. She didn’t say anything thst any1 didn’t k kw. The fact she said it was the problem. She had 2 roads to take 1 be positive or 2 be negative. She chose negative. No reason for thst. It was hateful. As far as the learning curve. No shit

This is why I love open communication. I honestly didn't look at it as hate. There have definitely been some comments rooted in shading her. I didn't think Taurasi did that. She clearly stated that they ALL go through it and also even said there'd be a period you must give yourself grace. I didn't think she meant to be spiteful. Thanks for commenting. It's not about whether this kind of statement is absolutely true or not, it's about context and tone and timing At the very best it's a little condescending, as if Clark and basketball fans wouldn't know this. So then it comes to if somebody's stating something that's so blatantly obvious why are they doing that? Given that, the blowback against Taurasi was way too much. But that's the temperature right now and Taurosi as an adult should know that right now the Waters of women's basketball are not calm. In part Taurasi suffered blowback because there has been so much hate going at Caitlin Clark and the Iowa players that people have become protective. For example during the final four the Iowa team was receiving so much hate and even threats that they had to pull back on public appearances and shut down social media. So people are understandably protective, Doubley so given that Caitlin Clark and these girls not only did no harm and deserve no negativity, they've actually shown exemplary and humble character and they're incredibly community-minded and charitable. Many people don't know about that because they don't look under the hood. Taurasi should of known the temperature, she didn't really do anything wrong, but it was unwise. 😊 No one wants to hear something pedantic after an avalanche of vitriol has been contended with. The best thing all of these women could do is just be a little more peaceful and be openly supportive of each other and build up whatever light makes the women's game stronger.

I agree w much you've said but when it comes to hate that's just a microcosm of America. Part of the country calling the Black players too physical and boring and a different part saying Caitlin and her crew only get the love cause they're white. In reality two things can be true at same time. Caitlin is a talented player and so are some of the other players. I didn't have a problem with Taurasi's statement. She was asked a question and answered it. She even stated WE ALL GO THROUGH IT so I don't think she had ill intentions so people shouldn't have taken it so personally. Some of the hate the players get are because of the silliness some of their fans spew. I agree the temperature is a little hot but I also feel people need to chill. It's basketball. We need to sit back and enjoy. The players will sort it out. The fans need to be fans. The players don't need our protection. Thanks for commenting. Please like and subscribe.

@@GDSportsNetwork I think you and I agree and if we sat down and shared a coconut we would both easily agree that we want to see a good things for all of the young athletes and women athletes. This case with Taurasi is a little bit unique but it is indicative of a larger problem that has plagued the WNBA and women's sports in general. No matter how just the complaint may be, the public at large really does not connect with people who are being ungraceful. That may not be fair but it's just human nature, most people are facing their own life trials and tribulations and what they really want to hear about is somebody who faces theirs and is graceful about it. The more so when somebody gets to do something outlying such as play a sport or be an actor and get paid for it. Unfortunately, for Taurasi, she has not built that Grace around her.... To contrast this if we had heard Magic Johnson make this statement everybody would have nodded their head yes, because he has built a place and the Zeitgeist of Grace. This means that even when he levels a criticism the culture will give him the benefit of the doubt that out the foundation he has positive insinuations and intentions. Of course only one in a million people have the charisma of Magic, but a little more gracefulness, more smiling and warmer tone and creating a history of support and respect of others will give someone that kind of foundation. And absolutely yes we have something to contend with right now and that is the social media mob mentality. Groups of people can only meet at the lowest common denominator logically, and without creating a common denominator of values things have really gone awry in the virtual social sphere. I believe we need about 10 million adults like you and I to push for more values in the social media sphere and to teach the next generations to uphold this. I have viewed Caitlin Clark as the Canary in the cultural mine as she has brought us a beautiful song with her sport yet also with her even handed character reveals what dangers are in the air of our culture.. if we, as a culture, are unable to treat this young woman well, a young woman who is not only done no harm to anyone but who has greatly benefited thousands directly in her charity work and countless more and uplifting girls and women sports, then we can know the toxicity levels are becoming dangerously high and that we are in real trouble. The last time I clearly remember such a litmus test for our culture was the emergence of Tiger Woods. There was some real toxicity going on in the golf world and in different corners of the culture, and it's worth noting that Caitlin Clark has had to endure some of the same bigotry narrative that Tiger had to suffer ("great race hope, show respect, put in her place"), but thankfully we as a culture at large had his back and cleared a path in our culture for Tiger not only to become one of if not the greatest golf players but to also be an inspiration to millions of youth. Somehow things have changed since then, possibly because social media allows the negative noise to keep boiling and hold a place in the culture, but it also seems there has been a change in the big media.

@@destinypirate 😁. Considering I was stationed on Kaneohe Marine Corps Air Station gladly share a coconut! If I'm being honest I'd LIVE to see women's sports in general get the love they deserve. I do understand the comment you made abt Taurasi's reputation preceding her. There have been times where she hasn't been the poster child of grace. That being said though I still think any indictment on a person shows more abt how we as a culture will condemn someone's flaw while at the same time never working on our own flaws. Don't get me wrong I'm guilty as well. I'm simply saying if we could learn to give grace while saying others aren't graceful maybe we'd start a wave of positivity instead of riding the wave of negativity. Magic definitely is a GREAT example (for two reasons). He like (Muhammad Ali) at one point were NOT viewed as national treasures. The fact they both will be National treasures at the end of their lives and beyond gives me reason to believe there are way more good people in our country than bad. Since I truly believe this it makes me more open to dialogue like this where even though there's a difference of opinion there can still be mutual respect. I've always said social media is a blessing and a curse. Total access is powerful. Question is will you use it for good or bad. Just as easily as one person can uplift another can tear down. I 100% agree that we could use values in the social media sphere. Full disclosure I'm a S Carolina Women's Basketball season ticket holder so I was not cheering for Caitlin in college. Lol. Now I'm going to vote for her in All Star voting. Why? It was never PERSONAL. I can dislike her because she's a threat to my team and then live her cause she now plays w Aaliyah Boston. Lol. Too often we make things personal that simply aren't personal. I think where some people have issue is that Caitlin has been marketed as the sweet, innocent, wholesome, and pure young lady. Reality check.... SHE'S NOT THAT! Lol. Caitlin is a dog!! She pushes, shoves, yells, talks trash, does the "you can't see me" hand gesture, waves off Raven Johnson standing at 3 point line (saying she can't make that shot), and just got T'd up last game for telling the ref "call the F'ing foul!". Guess what! I LOVE EVERY SECOND OF IT because in sports 90% of dogs are just like she is. Most don't go abt it filled with humility (while playing). That's the edge that makes them top athletes in their sport. Character should be questioned for what they do OFF the court (or field). Often times though a sector of the country calls melanated women of the same ferociousness (thugs, dirty debutantes, bar fighters, hood, ECT). Then unfortunately they are defended by a sector that may not express themselves gracefully and the cycle continues........ I agree that Tiger had a heck of a time breaking into golf. The only reason I think his situation was worse is because Caitlin had a large fan base still rooted in the sport she was breaking into. Tiger was pretty much alone. I appreciate the conversation. Please make sure you're subscribed. Thank you

@@GDSportsNetwork Here as we need to build the positive.... even as we see the negative. If only they had, as you noted, allowed the chill - just play ball and let the play do the talking, and we just enjoy how it goes, win or lose. But we are dealing with misnomers: It's not that ''black'' women are too physical, it is that some WNBA women are too violent. Simple. Putting the race card in their blinds the examination - as people become loaded with narratives, accusations, the need to defend. - No one is upset with Chennedy for being black. They are upset because she takes blind-side cheap shots, has a history of this (kicked off her last 2 teams for violence) and the WNBA does nothing but allow her on the court - with no admonition or guidance. This is precisely why the Players (not just CC) need our protection. Doubly so as they are women, and physiologically are more susceptible to injury. - Not sure if you know of Jackie Stiles a previous great, injured early (in 01) among others. In no other league do we see the general (forget Clark) level of violence, incidence of in-play over the top harm, repeated injury patters, as we see in the WNBA. It is time for a culture change (and we can 't have it if people go (blackvs.white) rather than simply basketball rules vs anything goes.

Look at the attendance CC has sell outs in away games CC brought WNBA charter flights and after her first 3 games she was the 4th player in WNBA to score 50 + and 15 ast who cares in her first game she had 10 turnovers not all of them were her felt sure they are coming after her but her team mates need protect her mark my word CC will be the Rookie of the year and who knows maybe MVP that’s if she stays healthy. If you are the parent of a daughter, your choices for role models and commentary are seriously suspect. As a dad myself, I would never use Taurasi, racists, and lesbians as the best my daughter could aspire to. That said, what other people say, what the media say, what foolish fans say does not really seem to affect Clark. She has a clear vision of who she is, who she wants to be, and how to get there. She’ll not listen to the outside noise. And as she does, she brings thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands, perhaps even millions where they never came before. She recognizes she doesn’t do it alone and spreads the honor and accolades. She also knows how to lose well and with grace (unlike some who cry at the interview table, or get surly and refuse to participate, or those who threaten). Clark knows it’s going to take time to learn how to win and the introduction of a player with remarkably different skills will challenge a team as they develop. Your simplistic and elementary analysis misses these and other strategic points while focusing on the typical and usual bitching. Finally, you shouldn’t be trusted with automobile operation if you really are posting and running clips while driving. I can assure you, you ain’t that good and are a serious incident just waiting to find the time and location. I hope you don’t kill someone else’s daughter.

LMBO. Why don't you tell me how you really feel Nathan. 😂😂😂 I don't remember in any post that I've created where I've stated who my role models were so how you know who they are is amazing. 👀 I also don't recall saying Taurasi, racist, or lesbians were who my daughter should aspire to be. So you're ruining your very own merit by assuming every point you're trying to make. Maybe since you have this "holier than thou" complex you should ask questions for clarification BEFORE you respond. An EDUCATED response will always beat one rooted in foolishness. So to quote you "what other people (YOU) say, what media says, what foolish fans (YOU) say does not really seem to affect Clark (or ME). She has a clear vision of who she is (I do too), who she wants to be (I do too), and how to get there (I follow my God)". I follow the leadership of my God who tells me not to judge others. So when you're done judging me you might want to look in the mirror Nathan. If you've heard any of my commentary that you so loudly declare as suspect I've consistently said that I've NEVER once heard Caitlin say how good she is or how game changing she is. Those comments have pretty much only come from fans like YOU. I've also said I'm human enough to not like her as an opponent but also root for her as a teammate now that she's alongside Aaliyah Boston. Lol. That's what "fans" do. Only people that are fanatical can't differentiate btwn the two. I'll never attack someone's character (like you did mine) without first KNOWING them a lil bit. Any post, video, or commentary can be read or heard in a way the person didn't intend. So though I won't crucify you for your comment I'd advise that you engage someone prior to doing so in a harsh or corrective way and being totally off base in your statement. I'd love to understand where in my analysis you found "bitching". You label them as "simplistic and elementary"? Why would I not be simplistic and elementary when I don't know the level of knowledge my viewers may have on a topic? Where in my title did I state this content was for ADVANCED viewers only? You crack me up You go really far right w your assumption that I'm posting and running clips while driving. I have hit the play button on a device so I comment afterwards however you've not seen the camera view change at all. That's because I'm simply filming the road as I drive w both hands on the wheel. You never see me because I'm not focused on being filmed cause I'm focused on the road. Smh. Even though you were wrong to mention killing someone else's daughter I'd love to have you continue to comment whenever you see fit. So like and subscribe. Why? Because there's VALUE in seeing life from other people's perspective. Wise individuals know this (like me). Maybe you can soak some of it up through my channel. You mentioned not using Taurasi, racist, or lesbians to be role models to your daughter. Well..... My God uses EVERYONE to speak through. Your daughter may learn something from Taurasi, a racist, or a lesbian. As long as she has a responsible, loving adult to filter things through she'll be just fine. Judging off your comment abt "some who cry at the table" I'd think you were talking abt Angel Reese? If I'm correct that could be viewed as "racist". Lol. My channel is for EVERYONE. As long as we can respect each other in this comment section I welcome EVERYONE. As far as me and my household we will serve the Lord. Because of that I feel even your daughter could find this to be a safe place. She's welcome to like, share, and subscribe as well. ✌🏾
