She must have been such a nuisance in class among her peers, the real scholars. I can imagine what that must have been like. Professor: The complexities of Wharton's prose style are, indeed, intricate reflections of the variegated class distinctions that underscore 19th century New York society. Cameron Brink: Professor, can I say something? I thought this book was like really long but totally interesting.
