She is not underrated!

I essentially don't watch tv in recent years and in Oz we tend not to get a great UK feed these days even on the ABC, used to be better, so not missing out. But i eventually did get another tv again last year and i first noticed Dianr in a satire about mothers. I forget the lead actor's name, also very good, and that guy from Utopia. But it was Diane's character as a foil for the main character that really drew me in. Sorry the specificity was a bit suboptimal haha. I am just discovering more of Diane's work as we speak. Brushing up on her Cunk, in fact. What are your favourite characters she's played?

@@mothratemporalradio517 You should watch Mandy. It's not available here in NZ so I have been watching it here on youtube. The episodes are only 15 minutes long, it's so hilarious. She wrote it and stars in it.

Mm not sure about that as i like Julia Davis, Olivia Colman and think we hardly need to make it a p1ssing contest when there are so few female comedians getting exposure anyway. Generally Olivia Colman does often play foils. I must admit i haven't been watching much tv for several years, but satire tends to be incredibly male dominated, which makes it very hard for me to overlook the likes of Julia Davis. Mind you i can't seem to remember anyone else offhand, but i've practically been living on another planet and have had something of a habit revisiting old satire on RU-vid. I do like French and Saunders but more in their Ripping Yarns sort of period.

some government jobs are as well. they know who they are hiring before they post the job but have to pretend its a competitive process.

The most humiliating I understand are in the Classical Music field, “blind auditions” especially, where you play behind a screen, and then come before the listening panel who then proceed to rip you to pieces.
