Dickey Betts Band "Statesboro Blues" Peachfest 7/22/18 

A great performance by the legendary Dickey Betts and so great to see him up there with his talented son Duane Betts. Here doing the classic Statesboro blues ,by Blind Willie McTell, who recorded it in 1928. The title refers to the town of Statesboro, Georgia. Taj Mahal recorded a popular blues rock adaptation of the song in 1968. His version inspired a recording by the Allman Brothers Band, and the rest is history ...the music never dies.
