Trevor Dickinson of A-EON shows his massive collection of Commodore and Amiga computers. Then he briefly shows the AmigaOne X1000, X5000, and A1222+ , and he makes some comments on the A1222+ finally being produced.
I met this wonderful man in 2015 in Amsterdam after Amiga 30 along with David Pleasance / David Haynie / RJ Mical when we all went out for drinks and nibbles in the evening. For me as a life-long Amiga fan a truly magical evening.
Awesome collection and wonderful man. Just hearing him raw and honest makes me suddenly want an A1222+ again. You can tell he tried hard and gave it all to make this work and is just exhausted and happy the product is finally out. Happy with the result, apologetic about the price. Tons of respect.
What a collection! Trevor could use a Variac to more gently power up the oldest machines without blowing up the caps. Thanks Robert for traveling all the way to NZ to film this! AlexC
The first ever computer I used was a Commodore PET 2001 series with the original naff keypad. My Dad would bring one home from work to learn on, I spent most of the time on it and I learnt BASIC at 10 years old, even wrote a few simple games.
Really nice setup, I nearly would say you can never have enough Amiga, but Trevor put this too the test :) Viva Amiga 4k, I hope thats still planned for maybe the 40th? Cheers for the vid!
